“If you’re looking for an argument, you’re not going to find it here. I’m not stopping this.” He kisses my collar bone. “You should get used to it.” The next kiss is placed just above my breast. “Can you do that or are you going to be difficult?”

A kiss to my belly nearly makes me leave the bed.

Lower. Lower.

I already want him again.

“I want to tell you that I can do this.”

I feel the eyeroll. “Difficult, is it? To be honest, sweetheart, I expected nothing less.”

“You would be bored if things were easy.”

He lifts his head. “Interesting.”

“Don’t do the ‘interesting’ thing. I hate that.”

“Don’t do the talking thing. I hate that.”

“Ah, we’ve reached the part where you’ve come and then turn back into a prick.”

His smile is everything. “At least I get more than just the fights now,” he replies.

I trace my finger along his jaw. “How long have you wanted more?”

He doesn’t try to look away, but I can see that there are so many secrets in his eyes.

“Casper, I need to know.”

“No, you want to know.”

“Same thing.”

“It isn’t.”

I huff and push him off me. He could stay if he wanted to, but he lets me up, rolling onto his side, waiting to see what I’m going to do next.

“You said you wanted to sneak around, Ainsley.”

“What does that have to do with anything?” I ask, putting my pyjamas back on.

“What are you doing later?”

“I’ll be at yours most of the day.”

He looks up, halfway between pulling his joggers on. No boxers. I don’t look because I need to remain calm and detached.

“You will?”

“Reggie and I have work to do. What are you doing?”

“I need to study, but you’re going to be a distraction.”

He walks around the bed.

“I can tell Reggie to come here,” I say.

“Do you believe I’ll relax if I know you’re home with another man.”
