LIV

Iwas in a room, cushioned and padded from the bottom to the top. It was like I was on a giant couch. The floors and walls were pillows, deep red and luxurious. The material was inviting, and soothing music floated from somewhere I couldn’t tell.

I took a step forward, and then another. I wanted to lie down on the soft cushions and make myself comfortable. I had no idea where I was, but somehow, this was exactly where I wanted to be.

When I looked down, I was naked.

Huh.

It wasn’t weird, though. I didn’t feel strange and out of place. In fact, I felt comfortable, not too hot or too cold, just right.

“Liv?” a deep voice asked to the side, and I turned to see Colter.

He lounged on a chaise lounge of some kind, the same deep red as everything else. He was naked, too. His body was perfectly sculpted, and he looked like a Greek god with muscles stacked upon muscles and an impressive cock between his legs, hard and delicious.

“You’re naked,” I said.

Colter glanced down. “Yeah, so are you. Interesting choice of wardrobe.”

“I didn’t choose this.”

Colter chuckled. “It’s your dream.”

I looked around. Was it?

I laughed. It was interesting, if that was the case.

“How did you end up in here?” I asked.

Colter shrugged. “I don’t know how these things work. It’s your mind, working hard while you’re sleeping.”

“Maybe,” I said.

Colter sat up and gestured for me to sit next to him. I walked across all the pillows and took a seat on the chaise lounge. Being with Colter was normal. Familiar—it felt like we’d known each other forever. He talked to me about work, about things his dad used to say to him, and how he only understood them now that he ran the company. He told me about his day.

I liked listening to him—the sound of his voice was soothing, and the music that accompanied everything made me feel light and airy.

“So, there you have it,” he said. I couldn’t remember exactly what we’d talked about, as was normal in dreams, I guess. “What about you?”

“What about me?” I asked.

“How are things with you?”

I shrugged. “I can’t complain. I mean…” I tried to remember how things were with me. Something tugged at my memory, something that seemed important, but I couldn’t think about it right now.

“I don’t know,” I admitted. “I think I’m okay.”

Colter grinned at me. I liked it when he smiled like that. Everything about him changed and lit up when he smiled, and he didn’t look like he carried the weight of the world.

Colter leaned in and kissed me.

“What was that for?” I asked when he broke the kiss.

“I’ve been wanting to do that since I arrived here.”

“Really?”
