I gasp, struggle to escape, but he keeps hold of me. His hand wraps into my hair, releasing my throat, pulling it hard. I moan as he drills into me, again and again, taking me rough. His palm spanks flat against my ass, sending a thrill down into my guts.

“This is what I want from you,” he growls as he goes faster. My body’s a glowing, sore, buzzing, aching mess, and I’m losing my freaking mind. It’s past midnight, and neither of us cares. Sleep is for the weak and all that. Sleep is for women that don’t have a man like Lanzo to fuck them into submission. “Taking my cock. Showing you off to the city like a prize.”

“Proud of me now?” I pant, gasping, whimpering. “You have a weird way of showing it.”

He kisses me deeply. “More than proud. I want every man to see me fucking you, pleasuring you. I want them to see what I can make you feel and to know they’d never match it.”

“You’re an exhibitionist now?”

“No, love, I only like to brag.” He turns me around and drags me to the floor. My legs spread, he slides inside, and he fucks me like a beast. I take him, take him, panting his name until I come.

“Now me,” he says, pulling back, stroking his cock.

I take him into my mouth, sucking him, licking my pussy from his shaft. I’m moaning as I do it, unable to help myself, and he comes in my mouth in a thick spurt.

“I don’t know how you do it,” I whisper after swallowing every drop. “How many more times until you’re spent?”

“Let’s find out,” he says, pulling me into his arms.

“Gladly.”

We lie like that beside the windows, breathing together. I keep thinking that this is my Lanzo, this is my man. He’snotleaving when this is over. He’s going to stay. Though what that means and how it’ll look, I have no clue.

“I want you to move in with me,” he murmurs, sounding tired.

I blink up at him. “Uh, what now?”

“Move in with me,” he repeats, opening an eye, smirking. “Is that a complicated idea?”

“No, you prick, I just mean—that’s a huge step.”

“You’ve been living here already.”

“I know, but there’s a difference between staying with you so I don’t get murdered and moving in indefinitely.” I chew my thumbnail, considering. I want to tell himyesa thousand times over, but that’s irresponsible. “What about Grandpop? I can’t live anywhere without him.”

He grunts like he hadn’t thought about that. “I’ll buy a place then. Somewhere with enough room for all of us. Somewhere huge. Somewhere he’d like.”

“I’m not sure Grandpop would want to live with a stranger during his final days.”

“Fair point.” He sighs. “Then I’ll have to get to know him.”

I snort, trying to imagine Grandpop and Lanzo having a conversation, and totally failing. Grandpop’s always been the conservative, hard-working type. Clean living, personal responsibility, all that crap. Whereas Lanzo is a tattooed bad-boy assassin/hacker/whatever with shaky morals and a chaotic personality.

“We’ll figure it out,” I say, nuzzling him. “Maybe we can buy two places. One for Grandpop, one for us. Maybe rowhomes that share a wall or something, so I can go back and forth. Stay with him half the time, stay with you the other half.”

“We’ll find a way to make it work,” he says, and his willingness to include Grandpop into our future plans makes my heart swell.

“What about you though?” I ask, kissing his chest and shoulder. “Isn’t there anyone you want me to know?”

“Orphan. Adopted. No real family.”

“Not even your adopted parents?”

“They were less parents, more guardians. I was never close with them.” He tilts his head. “You met my Atlas brothers. You met their wives. They’re the closest thing to family I have.”

“Then I’ll get to know them even better.” I smile to myself dizzy with happiness. “They’re going to be happy, you know.”

He lets out a long sigh. “They’re going to beinsufferable. Especially the girls. Actually, no, the guys will be worse.”
