“Girl, what are you doing?” Tito confidently strolls across the living room. “I called and called.”
“Painting.”And you freaking interrupted!
“I wanna see.”
Before I can stop him, he starts walking toward my room, and I stare in panic.
The door swings open, and Jace walks out, fully dressed. “Hey, man.”
I might’ve just died a little.
Tito gives him a startled look. “You painting, too?”
“Modeling.”
“Oh, yeah? Now I really want to see.” Tito turns to cock a brow at me.
“Maybe not,” I blurt.
“Oh, I do.” Tito pushes past Jace, and Jace follows.
So do I.
There’s a slight panic on Jace’s face when Tito rounds the easel.
“Oh?” Tito muses.
Jace steps around to see it too.
So do I, nervously biting my nail.
“That’s… very abstract,” Tito says, studying the messy blue background and only several lines for the features that could be anyone. “You have great tattoos, Jace. I was hoping for a full-body painting. But it looks like Lu just started. Is it going to be a portrait?”
Tito’s back is to us. He doesn’t see Jace lift his hand to my face and stroke a strand of my hair with his forefinger.
“Just a portrait,” Jace says with a soft smile as I blush scarlet.

Tito is takingLu to a party.
“Come on, we gotta go!” he shouts as Lu closes the door to her room to get changed. “Jace, you are coming too.”
“No, man, I’m good. I have stuff to do online.”
No amount of Tito’s persuasion can change my mind. Not even Lu’s slight disappointment and the blush that doesn’t go away.
She looks amazing in a dress with cherries, her face circled with a hairband. Cute red-framed sunglasses perched on her nose hide her eyes but not her blush.
I need some time alone to process what happened. Take a freaking breather.
And I need a cool shower, which I jump into when they leave the condo.
My head is on fire, and so is my heart. My dick—I stare in shock as I get under the lukewarm stream—has paint on it. I smile like an idiot as I bring my thumb to a dry blue streak on my shaft.
