She stepped forward and started to open her arms. Was she trying to hug him? Instantly, Chuck knew it was a bad idea. He’d dreamed about hugging Millie for so many years — he’d spent whole nights, unable to sleep, just imagining wrapping her lithe body in his arms and holding her close to him. To his shock, he felt his cock immediately start to thicken, just at the thought of it.

He did the only thing he could — he stepped back.

“We better get down to work.”

Millie looked — for a moment — hurt. Then an expression of acceptance drew over her face. “Sure,” she said. “What’s first on the menu? Shoeing? Brushing? Feeding?”

“First, young lady,” Chuck said, “seeing as this is an age play ranch, we need to talk about your rules.”

*

Wow. He obviously absolutely hated her. He couldn’t even bear to give her a hug. If he knew how much time over the years she’d spent fantasizing about seeing him again…

Well, at least she knew now it had been a waste of time.

He probably still saw her as a little girl — the eighteen-year-old she’d been when he’d unexpectedly quit his job at her father’s stable, two weeks before he was due to be at her side at the National Dressage Championships. Two weeks before the terrible accident with Wizard.

“Did you take any of that in, young lady?”

He was calling heryoung ladya lot. She thought back, trying to remember if he’d called her that when she’d actuallybeena young lady. Not as far as she could remember.

Maybe that was the policy here: refer to Littles — or potential Littles — as young ladies. If it was meant to make her feel young and regressed… it was kind of working.

“Huh?”

“Wow. Okay. I can see we’re going to have to work on your attentiveness.”

Chuck wrote something down on the chalkboard.

That’s right. He had an actual chalkboard.

This, actually, was very Chuck. He’d always been one for writing lists on chalkboards. Things to work on. Posture. Attitude. Gait management. But that’s not what he was writing on the chalkboard today. Today, he wrote this:

Stable Rules

1. Tardiness is unacceptable.

2. Tasks must be completed to Chuck’s satisfaction.

3. There must be no argument with Chuck.

4. Horses will be treated with respect.

5. Meals must be taken on time and must be eaten.

6. All gear must be returned to its rightful place.

7. Millie must pay full attention when Chuck is talking.

To be fair to Chuck, he had been taking her suggestions for rules, too. That’s whereHorses will be treated with respecthad come from. By the looks of some of the animals in here, that was going to be a particularly useful rule.

Thunder.

He was the one.

Before they’d started actually writing the rules down, Chuck had taken a moment to introduce Millie to the horses in the stables. He’d started with Sunrise — a gorgeous, blond, Palomino. Then worked his way through Bella — a black and white speckled beauty — and Ranger — a red-brown American paint horse — before he’d shown her Thunder. She knew as soon as she looked at Thunder that there was no way in hell that she’d ever, evermuster up the courage to ridehim.

He looked dangerous.
