We were at Untouchable celebrating Dominic’s promotion to Talent Manager. Dexen being who he was even put a silver plaque on Dominic’s dressing room door with the title Dominic had given himself because Talent Manager was too formal.

The plaque read:

Dominic Summit

Head Ass Shaker

In all honesty, Dominic was perfect for the role. He’d managed Junior’s schedule and basically ran every administrative aspect of his life before he decided to dance full time. Now he got to put his skills to use here without cutting back on his dancing.

The best part of all of this was Dexen took a tiny step back. Not enough to lose the control he so desperately needed but enough to where he was home with Greer and me more. I’d take any bit of him I could get.

I laid my head on Greer’s shoulder and people watched. Dexen was making his rounds. His members were here to celebrate as well as the staff. What surprised me was Dexen offering lifetime memberships to Val and Corbin as a thank-you for helping out when Dominic was taken against his will. He said he should have done it after it happened but there was no time like the present.

Poor Corbin blushed to the point I thought he was probably red down to his toes. Val just stared at Dexen like he had three heads and asked, “Why the hell do I need to go to a strip club? I have the internet. Porn is better and I don’t have to leave the house.” Dexen laughed and told him the membership would be there if he wanted to use it. Both Val and Corbin came out tonight to celebrate. It was their first time in Untouchable.

Corbin stood off to the side with a glass of wine in hand. He was still embarrassed, or maybe he was turned on, and just really shy. I couldn’t tell. There were scantily clad men walking around serving food and drinks. The dancers were mingling with the members. Corbin’s eyes kept drifting to Val though. And sometimes to X, which I couldn’t blame him.

X was gorgeous tonight in a white button-down, red tie, and black slacks. I’d always thought he was attractive but something about the dressed-up look made me do a double take. I was used to seeing him in casual clothes. Tonight, he resembled Dexen. Both the businessmen they were born to be.

“Who are you staring at?” Dominic whispered in my ear, making me jump.

“What the fuck?” I yelled. The music helped drown out my outburst. “Don’t sneak up on me like that. Jesus.”

He laughed. Since it was his party, he decided to wear a pair of silver boy shorts and a silky white tank top. Both skintight. Both leaving not much to the imagination. He had silver glitter sprayed over his exposed skin, even the sliver of flesh between his tank top and shorts. The vanilla scent coming from him made me want to find a cookie. Peyton followed him around like a puppy when he wore that scent. How could he not get hungry? It reminded me of food.

“He’s cute,” Dominic said.

“Who?”

“The doc, as Val calls him. He’s got this whole bashful thing going on.”

“This is way outside his comfort zone.”

“Well, I’m glad he came. I appreciate him being here for me. Or maybe it’s for X and Val.” He tapped his finger on his chin. “I’m not sure.”

“I was thinking the same thing.”

Dominic suddenly tensed beside me. I followed his line of sight to see Junior pacing by the bar. He had his phone to his ear and a pencil in hand he was tapping against his thigh.

“Work?” I asked.

“Yup. But if he dares to—”

I didn’t hear the pencil snap, but I saw it.

Dominic gasped. “He’s going to pay for that.”

“What is with you and those pencils?”

“They’re Dom’s favorite,” Greer cut in. “He used to have them at the office but as a congratulation-on-your promotion gift, Perry bought a bunch for his desk here.”

“Yeah, he took that one from my fucking desk,” Dominic growled. He abandoned my side and stalked toward Junior, his tight ass flexing with every step. He stopped in front of Junior and glared at him. Poor Junior had enough sense to look sheepish and hand Dominic the two pieces of the pencil.

Greer chuckled in my ear. “It never gets old watching Dom put Perry in his place.”

“You said he did that while he worked for him too?”

“Every day. Dominic never let anyone walk over him. He was just what Perry needed. Still is, but in a different way.”
