Gav is difficult company on the best of days, but when he’s like this, he’s practically impossible to speak to. So, instead of persisting, I head to the coffee machine and pour myself a cup.

“Coffee?” I ask.

He just shakes his head in response.

Our moods couldn’t be anymore opposite. “You seem chipper this morning. What happened between you and Adrianna?” Gav asks, glancing in my direction.

I clench my jaw. “That’s for me to know and you to wonder.”

Gav shakes his head in frustration and goes back to staring into nothing.

The guy may be my friend, but I can’t deny that sometimes he scares me.

These moods he gets into differ from someone sulking. He’s cloaked in a darkness I could never understand. Oak saved him, much like he saved me from my family, but they won’t ever talk about the details. All I know it involved a double homicide and Gav going to jail for a very long time.

Gav did something he couldn’t have come back from and Oak gave him a way out. “I’m going to head to class,” I say, watching him carefully. “You coming?”

Gav shakes his head. “Go ahead. I’ve still got five minutes.”

I pity any student that gets sent to him today, as he’s truly in a bad mood.

“Okay, see you later.” I walk out with my cup of coffee and head toward the gym.

Adrianna isn’t in any of my classes today, unfortunately. Ever since she left my apartment in the early hours of the morning, insisting she didn’t want to sleep in my bed until we had to get up, all I can think about is her. Hell, I even dreamed about Adrianna.

She’s taken my mind captive and I’m not sure whether I like it. As I walk down the corridor, I’m in my own world. Until I knock right into the girl I was fucking daydreaming about. My hands instinctively land on her hips to steady her.

She looks a little dazed too as she glances up. “Sorry, I—” When she realizes it’s me, her cheeks flush a beautiful crimson color. “Oh.”

“Hey, baby girl,” I murmur, tightening my grasp on her. “How are you feeling this morning?”

Her jaw clenches. “Tired and sore.”

I smirk at that, as it’s not surprising she’s sore. We fucked four times, and she’s never had sex before. I’m surprised she can even walk. “Good.”

“I’m going to be late for class,” she says, trying to wriggle out of my grasp.

“Me too, but I’m not sure I want to let you go.” I glance around, noticing there’s fewer and fewer students by the moment as everyone heads into their classes.

“It doesn’t matter what you want.” Her eyes flash as she manages to slip out of my grasp. “I’m going.” She heads in the opposite direction, but I won’t let her walk away from me like that.

I chase after her and grab the back of her neck, jerking her to a stop and swiftly forcing her to face me. “Listen to me, Adrianna. You may have fucked me last night, but that’s not where this ends. You’ll be in my bed every damn night until you graduate. Do you understand?”

Her nostrils flare. “That’s ridiculous.”

“I have information on you, so it’s my choice if I want to use it to have you in my bed as much as I want.” I lean close to her and drag my lips against her earlobe, making her shudder. “And after the amazing sex we had last night, I want you in my bed as often as possible.”

“I can’t explain that to my friends.”

I move back and look into her beautiful, dark eyes. “Explain what, exactly? You’ll come to my apartment late when your friends are asleep. Simple.”

Her jaw clenches. “I’ve got to get to class. I have torture with Professor Nitkin.”

“I didn’t hear you agree to my terms.” I tighten my grasp on the back of her neck, ignoring the slightly odd looks we receive from students passing by. I’ve never been discreet about my relationships with students before, but I guess this is the first resistant one, so I don’t normally have a student by the back of the neck in the corridor.

“What terms?” she says, impatience in her tone.

I sigh heavily. “You’ll come to my apartment once your friends have retired to their rooms. Give me your phone,” I demand.
