Tayida’s making Rian laugh and goddamn it if that isn't the most beautiful sight in the world.

I love this. I love you.

Fuck if Ty isn't happy as a pig in shit every time he comes home to find Rian still single. Yeah, he dated, Cyril told him as much, but even that happened rarely, and nothing came of it.

He should be ashamed – being alone is terrible. Ty at least has Cyril. Rian is all by himself, for months at a time, dealing with life on his own. But there is no way Ty would lie and say he wants Rian to find somebody.

Just the thought of any dude touching him, holding him, made Ty fucking sick, ready to break hands and smash teeth. He has yet to see any evidence of a boyfriend – Ri hasn’t mentioned anyone, nor has he been out for anything else but a quick shopping trip. But Ty is jealous nonetheless. He is envious of all those men that have nothing to lose and can simply approach Rian, ask him out on dates, tell him they are falling for him, and even be as bold as to try and kiss him.

All stuff he’s not supposed to do.

Rian seems to notice his thoughts have begun wandering again. He’s smiling softly at him, not chiding him for zoning out on him again.Fuck.His eyes are always on Tayida, so much so that he can’t help but wonder…

“Hey...?” Ty meets his eyes and immediately hates the uncertainty he sees in them.

“Sorry, I guess I'm slow to wake up today. I don’t know what’s up with me.”

“Hmm, it’s okay. I hope…I don’t mean to ramble on and on and bore you. I know I can be a lot sometimes…”

“Never.” It’s as simple as that. Ty holds him in his gaze, pouring all his intention and tenderness into the meaning. “You can talk to me about anything. I’m always happy to listen.” Rian beams at him. Then chuckles.

Ty rolls his eyes, “When I have my head screwed on right at least.”

“It’s fine,” Rian waves him off. “Uhm, so what do you want to do, while sleeping beauty is getting over her flu?” Rian jokes, instantly lightening the mood.

Ty grins. “I was going to cook you that thing...uhh…” He snaps his fingers a couple of times, pretending he is trying to remember.

Rian jumps in his seat excitedly. “Kuay Tiew Mu Tom Yum!” he yells, not even butchering the name.

Ty grins.Anything you want, baby.

Tayida has been doing this trick for ages and getting successfully away with it. “You think Cy might have some?”

“He's just about sick enough not to notice the burn.”

Their peculiar culinary preferences are somewhat of a running joke between them. They both love spicy very flavorful food and Cy can't handle anything hotter than a dollar-store pack of noodles. They have tricked him into trying things over the years with disastrous results, yet Rian never gives up his efforts to bring him over to the spicy side.

“I have to run to the store and get some of the stuff I need for it. You want anything bay...Ri?”

Shit. Get a grip. He ain’t your baby.

To his relief, Rian has his head stuck in the refrigerator, already pulling out ingredients.

“No need, I have everything right here!” He really freaking does.

Ty chuckles. “Well played.” Maybe, he hasn’t been getting away with anything at all.

Ry beams, biting his lower lip. “I was hoping you were in the mood to make it. It's my favorite.”

Ty shakes his head, thoroughly amused at how Rian has been playing him. Shit, he couldn’t be mad at all. He’d do anything to make this boy happy. Any little thing that brings Rian comfort and makes him feel cared for, Ty is ready to deliver.

They spend the rest of the morning, talking, cooking, and laughing. And yes, Ty is listening. Being together feels so fucking easy. So effortless. So damn good.

Real.

Right.

Like it is meant to be.
