“What time is it?” I ask him.

Theo glances at the alarm clock on the nightstand behind me and meets my gaze again. “Four.”

“Do you think we have time for an adventure before the rehearsal dinner?”

One of his eyebrows arches. “What did you have in mind?”

Chapter Fifteen

To ensure we make it to the rehearsal dinner on time after our excursion, Theo and I get dressed in our dinner attire.

Theo is wearing some black slacks and a black tropical Hawaiian shirt that highlights his dark features, including his tattoos, perfectly.

I choose my favorite yellow, floral, V-neck shirred waist dress with a pair of wedges. When I walk, the slit that draws up to my mid-thigh parts and catches Theo’s eye.

“You look amazing.” Theo intertwines his fingers in mine as we cross the hall and board the elevator.

“Thank you,” I smile up at him as the elevator doors close.

Hell.He smells so good.

Theo slithers his arm around my waist, pressing me against the elevator wall. He leans down to kiss me. His hand strokes up my thigh and follows the slit of my dress.

Hellfire. He literally takes my breath away.

Theo lifts me up, my back still pressed against the wall, and my legs wrap around his torso. Kissing his lips and running my fingers through his hair, I’m ready to change my mind and hit our floor button to go back to our room when the elevator dings. Theo reluctantly releases me from his strong grasp, and I slip back down as the doors slide open.

Theo motions his head toward the exit, and we are on our way through the lobby, like he didn’t just have me at his mercy in there. I will never look at elevators the same way again, that’s for sure.

His hand finds mine again and we weave through the lobby until we reach the street exit.

“So, where are we going?” He asks as soon as our feet hit the sidewalk. His green eyes scan me, intrigued.

“Seeing you face your fear and fly here for your brother’s wedding inspired me to face my own fear.”

“Which is…?”

“Needles.” I flash a mischievous grin, eyeing his tattoos.

“We’re going to a tattoo parlor?” He grins.

“Yeah.” I tilt my head toward his left arm and ask, “Will you tell me about your tattoos?”

As we walk the few blocks to the tattoo parlor, he shows me his artwork. “These two black roses are for my Mama and sister. These coordinates are where my parents met for the first time on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.”

“No way!” I snort out. “How do you have the actual coordinates if they were in the middle of the ocean? Or did you just guess?” I narrow my eyes to tease him.

Theo laughs and shakes his head. “They’re the actual coordinates. They told us how they met their third night out at sea and my dad asked her to dance during dinner. I used the course of the cruise ship and crossed that with their story timeline and found their coordinates.”

“That is so sweet.”

I am melting. Like ice cream on a hot summer’s day, I am melting.

“They thought so too when I showed it to them for their Thirtieth wedding anniversary.”

Hellfire and broomsticks this man is sexy.

“And the Greek ones?” I focus my gaze on his arm instead of his lips.
