“Thanks. For everything. I don’t know what I would do without you. Besides show up in jeans and a sports jacket and hope no one knew the difference.”

“If you need anything else, just let me know. I’m your wingman today.”

“I just want to marry Caroline and start our life together,” he said. “I’m ready to get on with the good stuff.”

“Okay.” I nodded. “Let me check Caroline’s status.”

“Don’t get distracted,” he warned. “I saw a picture of Emmy in her dress. Leave her clothes on and don’t you dare mess up her hair or makeup.”

I flashed a grin. “I don’t need her hair or makeup for what I have in mind.”

I knocked on the door of the bridal party room. Lena answered it. “She’s almost ready,” she said. “Ten minutes.”

“Is Emmy ready?” I asked.

She frowned at me. “I’m not sure I should let you see her.”

“Why not?”

“Because she’s in full hair and makeup and her dress will wrinkle if you look at it wrong,” she replied. “I don’t know if I trust you to keep your hands to yourself.”

I rolled my eyes. “It’s fine.”

“That’s what you said last night at dinner and next thing we know the waitress was pushing you guys back into the banquet room half-dressed and disheveled. You two are worse than teenagers. Worse than bunnies!”

“I didn’t realize anyone would need in that closet,” I said unapologetically.

“I’m warning you,” she said in a stern voice. “Emmy, Luke’s here.”

“Don’t touch the hair!” I heard Caroline shout.

Emmy appeared in the doorway, laughing at the teasing of the other bridesmaids. My heart caught in my throat when I laid eyes on her. The pale blue dress made her look like a fairy princess from her favorite movie when she was little. The dress was a silky material that shined under the light. Its hem of white lace flowed just below the knee. The halter top clung to Emmy’s chest, accentuating her breasts. Her arms and shoulders were bare, exposing all that silky skin that I loved to kiss.

“Damn,” I breathed. “I get it.”

“You get what?” she asked and stepped into the hallway.

“Why they’re all worried I’m going to ravish you,” I said.

I drank in the sight of her in the bridesmaid dress. Her chestnut hair was styled up. Her hair was in a halo-like design with a few loose strands framing her face.

“This old thing,” she joked.

“I’m hard,” I said bluntly. “I want to flip up that skirt and pound you against the wall.”

“Stop!” She laughed and pushed me away.

“I’m serious,” I said. “I’m so fucking hot for you right now. I can’t touch you. If I touch you, I won’t be able to stop. It’s really not fair to Caroline that you look this good. You’re totally showing her up.”

“Stop it.” She smiled. “You’re looking very dashing. I’m thinking about throwing you up against the wall. There’s a room next door. I think it’s empty.”

“Don’t you dare tempt me,” I warned. “Trust me. I could do the deed in two minutes and never come close to touching your hair. Or your lips.”

“I think you better go take your fine ass back to the men’s side of the building,” she said. “We cannot be trusted to be alone together.”

I groaned and adjusted my dick in the tailored pants. “I was coming to let you guys know, we’re ready. How long until Caroline is ready?”

“A few minutes,” she answered.
