Ecstatic about the possibility of moving back home, I pull out my phone and text my girls' group chat.

??Babes??

Me: xox what are my favorite people up to this morning?

Quinnie: Currently on my way to get my lady bits lasered. I’m telling you, it’s by far the best thing I have ever done.

Ava: Nothing beats hearing about your lady bits during my lunch break!!

Me: Gahhh I miss you guys!! I can’t wait to see you both again soon.

Quinnie: Aww babe, we miss you too. How’s the whole fuck-hot sex club thing looking?

Me: It’s not a sex club… Well, only because that shit is illegal in NY, but I’m hoping to set up a final meeting soon!

Ava: Bwahaha… you know damn well Q is turning that shit into her own personal sex club.

Me: Ahaha

Quinnie: You better fucking believe it! Gurl, I cannot wait.

Me: I’ll make sure I have a special VIP lounge just for you ??. xox gotta go do some work shit. Lovers you!

Quinnie: Bye Boo

Ava: Bye babe! Q- hope your hoo-ha makes a full recovery…

Quinnie: Don’t even joke about something like that. My kitty is very important to me... Could you imagine if something were to happen to her?! I think I’d die, like literally die.

Laughing out loud as they continue to blow up my phone. I’ll catch up on the missed ridiculousness later. I need to prepare for my call.

“Yes, this weekend sounds perfect,” I answer while holding up my finger to inform Blossom I need another minute. She enters my office quietly and sits in one of the white leather chairs nestled in the corner by the window.

“Sure thing, I’ll see you Saturday night. Oh, you didn’t have to do that, I’ll drive… Thank you, have a good evening.” I hang up the phone and let out an excited squeal, fisting my hand in the air.

“Oh yes! I love celebrations. I'm guessing your conversation with Mrs. Sikes went well?” Blossom asks as she rearranges some papers she brought in with her. Geez, one would think something as digital as an online blog would help eliminate our paper consumption.

“What did you bring me this time?” I tip my chin, acknowledging the stack clutched in her hands.

“Oh, it's nothing really, just something I thought you might want to take a peek at. But if you're busy, I'm sure it can wait. It's not important or anything,” she stammers, acting extremely strange even for her quirky self.

“What the hell Bloss, why are you acting all weird on me? What is it?” I question her while reaching out my hand.

“It's just, you're in a great mood and I don’t want to ruin it…”

“Okay now I have to read it... hand it over lady.” I shake my hand, emphasizing that it is in fact open and waiting for her to drop the paper into it.

She winces and plops the papers into my hand and quickly scurries back a few steps, as if anticipating my reaction. I unfold the paper, seeing it's a TMZ article titledDanni WintersLooking Toward the Futurealong with an old photo of her and Wesley front and center.Geez, this chick again? I skim the bogus article ready to throw it out when a line catches my eye.

When he was in my hotel room on Sunday, I had mentioned taking a break from one another. I told him I needed time to think about my career and what my future holds. I love Wesley King with all my heart, and he's really good to me, always has been, but is he the right choice for me? He begged and pleaded with me to give him another chance, a chance to prove his devotion to me. I caved, of course. I mean, look at that man. How can you say no to a god? So, we're taking things slow for now, but let me say this, he definitely left a happy man.

Now I know this chick is full of shit. He was with me on Sunday, but I can't help the nagging voice wondering if he went there after the airport. No! That’s what she’s trying to do. She’s trying to make me doubt him and what we have. I quickly shake the thought out of my head before I do something stupid and call this bitch out. Throwing the papers into the trash, I leave my office, needing to calm myself.

In the hallway I hear Blossom’s footsteps trailing behind me, I slow to let her catch up to me. I left in such a hurry I forgot she was in the office with me. “I have an idea,” she blurts out once she’s close enough. “Let’s skip out early, go to Los Borachos and get tequila wasted,” she proposes while wiggling her eyebrows.

I love how hard she’s trying to take my mind off things, and how she knows me and tequila aren’t always on the best of terms… But day drinking sure does sound tempting. We make our way through the office and out toward the building's lobby. I shoot Wes another text message since I still haven’t heard from him. Where is he? This is so unlike him.Maybe he’s with her?

I’m once again lost in my thoughts with my head buried in my phone when I practically run into someone’s chest. Stumbling back a smidge, I look up to apologize for my clumsiness. I gasp and fling myself into Wes’s waiting arms, throwing all of my possessions to the floor in the process. I wrap myself around his body and when our lips meet again for the first time in over a week, I let out a sigh of relief. My body immediately relaxes, pushing away all the doubt that had built up throughout the day with him right here in my arms.
