Sonny picked up his binoculars. “I see the driver. Wait, I recognize him. That’s one of the guys from the strip club.”

“That confirms it. Death Riders paid Ray to steal our shit,” Jesse announced.

“I’m getting out to find a spot.” Xander grabbed his rifle and quietly exited the car and into the dark underbrush.

With Xander hidden and ready as needed, Sonny turned to Jesse. “Let’s enter from the other side. While you’re at the bin, I’m going to sneak up on their tail.”

“Got it,” Jesse replied.

They quickly and quietly grabbed the gun stash and made their way around the park and the side of the building.

Jesse took a deep breath and nodded at Sonny. “Ready.”

“You’re good to go, Sonny. I’ve got eyes on Jesse.” Xander’s voice crackled in their ears.

Sonny made his way around the other side of the building and waited in the shadows.

Several minutes – it felt like hours – Xander spoke.

“Jesse’s made the drop off,” Xander whispered. “He’s heading back to the alley to wait.”

Sonny watched as the passenger door opened and a man in all black got out. He wandered back to the bin and Sonny took the opportunity to sneak up on the undercarriage of the truck.

“He’s checking the bin,” Jesse’s voice in his earpiece was barely a whisper. “I got the text to get lost.”

“Come round the building. It’s time for the party to get started.”

Sonny withdrew his Glock but stayed crouched. Looking to his right, he saw Jesse approach and signal for him to wait in the shadows. The passenger walked back to the truck and had almost reached it when a shot rang out and the man collapsed to the ground. Sonny sprung up and raised his Glock at the driver.

“Get out of the car, hands up and don’t make a fucking noise,” Sonny ordered.

Jesse ran over to the guy on the ground. Xander grazed the guy’s leg, not enough to seriously injure but enough to incapacitate him for a while. Jesse shoved a rag in the guy’s mouth, covered his head and rolled him over, handcuffing him. “One down.”

Sonny recognized the blond Death Rider from the strip club. The guy raised his arms and slid out of the truck. “On the ground, face down.”

“Fuck you,” the guy mumbled, and Sonny hit him with the butt of the gun, knocking him to the ground.

After handcuffing him, Sonny placed a gag in his mouth and threw a black bag over his blond head.

“Two down. Xander, nice work. Get the car. We need to load up. Grab the guns from the bin.”

“On my way.”

Jesse dragged the injured man over to the truck. Sonny searched their person, finding their phones, cash, knives, and ID.

“Darren Davis and Hawk Lanski, nice to meet you,” Sonny said sarcastically.

Not surprising, all he got in response was a muffled noise from both men. He assumed it was ‘fuck you’.

Concerned that they might be tracked, Sonny pulled out the SIM cards from their phones and pocketed them.

Xander pulled up in the SUV and they loaded up both men. Jesse shoved the guns in the back seat of the pickup.

“Jesse, you drive their truck back to the compound. Xander and I will follow. Text Gage when we’re almost there.”

On the way back, Sonny’s phone pinged. It was a notification from the bunker. He’d have to deal with Avery later. At three in the morning, they finally arrived back home. Gage was waiting with the dogs.

Jesse and Xander dealt with the truck and the guns. Sonny and Gage walked the two men over to the hunting lodge and down into the depths of the bunker, into room 2, the one that had nothing but a couple of chairs and a single light above.
