Without hesitation, Sonny drew down the knife and cut off Hawk’s pinky toe. Blood gushed out onto the tarp underneath them as Hawk’s hoarse screams rang out, his body shaking so hard, the chair almost toppled over.

“Speak. Or I’ll be aiming for one of your balls next.”

“Ray… Ray,” Hawk mumbled.

“Don’t,” Darren muttered. “Keep your fucking mouth shut.”

Sonny rounded on Darren’s chair and grabbed one of his hands, still tied behind his back. Darren was the guy at the strip club who had his eyes all over Avery. The one who paid for the private dance, who licked her ass, who touched what was Sonny’s. He yanked on Darren’s thumb, and he began to fight.

“No, no, no!” Darren yelled as he tried to shift away but it was no use.

Sonny cut off his right thumb and Darren’s screams echoed louder than Hawk’s. The smell of blood, sweat, and fear permeated the dank room.

“He’s a drug mule and a thief,” Hawk blurted out. “We… we’ve worked and partied with his girl. She’s a housecleaner sometimes, a drug runner, and a cagey bitch. She moved to Longford six months ago, and she knows your compound. Got his number from her. Sent him a text and partial payment for the job.”

“What’s her name?”

Sonny and Jackson had retrieved their guns a week ago, but there was no one on site at the house. This girlfriend was nowhere to be seen.

Neither Hawk nor Darren said anything. The only sound in the room was their moans of pain.

“Her name,” Sonny demanded.

“Tyra Litch,” Hawk mumbled.

Tyra. The name rattled around in Sonny’s head for a while until he remembered the last party. The redhead. She was one of the two women who was hanging around him and Dante. She’d also been at other parties.

Fucking bitch was going to regret ever stepping foot on their property.

But still, how had she known about the location of the stash unless someone in the club had told her, or worse, showed her? A cold tendril of dread snaked up Sonny’s spine.

“Why is Avery Hellion being targeted?” Sonny asked.

“Why do you think? There’s a territory war about to let loose. Just wanted to amp…amp up the pressure a bit,” Darren whispered in between pants and groans. “Everyone knows Gage Hellion. And that he would do anything for his daughter.”

He’s not the only one.

Sonny drew his knife and rested it against Darren’s left thigh, the tip poking dangerously close to his balls. Darren’s trembling was intensely satisfying to witness.

“What else do you know about our guns?”

“We… we know your contact in Montana that drives up here on the regular for their shipments. We’ve been in talks with them, offered up a better deal. Still waiting on an answer.”

“How?”

Neither man said anything.

“How did you find our contact? I won’t ask again.”

“We got a tip. An anonymous source.”

Yeah, right.

First, they needed to find this bitch Tyra as soon as possible. And to see if H&H had a leak. He hated thinking about the latter but the sooner they cut off the head of the snake, the better. He needed to talk to Gage, now.

Sonny’s phone vibrated in his pocket, and he reluctantly drew the knife away, wiped it on his jeans and placed it back in the sheath. It was Gage wanting an update since the feed didn’t have audio.

Sonny left the room and locked the door, heading back upstairs to find Gage sitting and watching the monitor.
