"You said you don't do commitment."

"Are you saying you got enough?"

She stared at him, pretty sure she could never make that particular claim. "What are you saying?"

"Your intention was to get the message through to Cyrus that your marriage is over. One nightmightdo it, but a full-on affair? That woulddefinitelyget the point across."

"You want to be my lover long term to stick it to your half-brother?"

"I want to be your lover, for whatever term, because last night was not enough for me. Was it for you?" The demand she answer the question this time was in his tone, but his face was neutral.

"No."

"Yet, you were leaving."

Seriously? He was stuck on that. "That was the agreement."

"When you make a deal, you stick to it." No question how he felt about that. He approved. It was in his tone, but also the warmth of his gaze left no doubt.

"I do."

"Make a deal with me now. We are lovers for as long as we both want to be."

"Okay." She could live with that. More than. Though she didn't know how her heart was going to handle the inevitable breakup. That was a problem for the future. Today, she was going to live the life she wanted to and that included being Lysander's lover.

She sat up and tugged the bedding with her to cover her naked breasts. "But if either of us decides we want to see other people, we tell the otherbeforea date, or anything else."

She didn't want to feature as the cheated on girlfriend in the tabloids any more than she'd enjoyed being featured as the betrayed wife in the many salacious articles detailing Cyrus's bedroom behavior. She'd first learned of his infidelity through a friend who'd seen one such article.

When confronted, Cyrus had dismissed the article as journalism at its basest at first, claiming the pictures were photoshopped.

Her mom had been the one to finally confirm Rowan's suspicions. Calling her to give her apep talkabout how men and women saw marriage differently and that she couldn't take Cyrus's affairs personally. Coming from a woman who had consistently turned a blind eye to her own husband's indiscretions, the words had carried more weight than the tabloid article.

Cyrus had been unfaithful, and Rowan's mother knew it. Had, as Rowan learned later, known all along.

"Agreed."

"That included your friends with benefits thing with Adele Fournier." He wasn't getting any otherbenefitswhile he was sharing Rowan's bed.

"I told you. While I am in a liaison with one woman, I do not have sex with others." He tugged at the sheet covering her. "Now, since we are both awake, let us make better use of our time than talking."

And they did.

The next two days were idyllic for Rowan. Lysander was an inventive and eager lover. She learned a lot about her own body's responses she'd never known. His personal shopper had excellent taste and Rowan felt no urge to return to her apartment before she absolutely had to.

That was Sunday night.

Only Lysander wasn't keen on her leaving.

"Why can't you go to work from here in the morning?" Lysander asked Rowan. He liked having her in his home and the sex was something outside his experience.

He liked sex. It was both pleasure and stress relief. What was not to like? But with Rowan, it was more. It was fun. And he wanted her all the time. Like now.

She stood there in a pair of jeans and a top that hugged her generous curves, looking like she didn't understand the question and all he wanted to do was strip those clothes off her and start touching.

"Lysander, we've spent the entire weekend together and if I know you, you'll be up and out of bed hours before I am." She sounded reasonable.
