"You want to go to the spa." His tone was the same as when he'd acknowledged she wanted to go on a cruise.

He didn't understand why she wanted it, but he was willing to indulge her.

She hoped.

Rowan looked at Lysander appealingly. "Yes."

"Then book our couples massage at Serenity."

"They might not have another masseuse available," she warned. "I read that days at sea are busy for the spa and other onboard services."

"They will accommodate us, Rowan."

"Because we are staying in the private suite of the owner of the cruise line," she guessed, feeling silly for even doubting they would make room in their schedule for her and/or Lysander.

"Perhaps, but the room is booked in my name."

And billionaire tycoon Lysander Baros was kind of a big deal.

"You really want to get a couple's massage with me?" she asked.

"Yes."

Unable to help the grin spreading over her face, Rowan called Serenity again and made the arrangements. Lysander checked his phone while she was talking to the receptionist.

"Klaus will be up momentarily with your breakfast," he said after she put the handset down.

"Not a steward?"

"No one but our security staff and the approved cleaning staff while in their company will be allowed into the suite."

And apparently staff from the spa if they so desired. She'd bet they got vetted before being allowed up though.

"Isn't that overkill?"

Lysander looked at her like he didn't understand what she was asking.

"Is this how you usually travel?" she asked, trying to fathom living like this all of the time. "With a layer of security between you and the rest of the world?"

"Unvetted people are not allowed access to where I am staying, no."

"Doesn’t that get exhausting?"

"I don't do the vetting."

"Of course, you don't." She still thought it sounded like it had to be mentally taxing to be so security conscious all the time.

If she really was Mrs. Baros, that would be her life as well. Rowan did her best to ignore the small voice inside her that insisted it would be worth it.

CHAPTER 21

Lysander found the couple's massage in the spa surprisingly enjoyable. The ambiance was tranquil in a way the suite could not match regardless of its luxury.

He was glad to see Rowan walking without a single twinge afterward because he had more plans for her in the bedroom later. Or on the balcony…or perhaps they would make use of the sturdy dining table.

However, she looked tired, so he convinced her to return to the suite for a nap. If the sleeping came after he stripped her, spread her legs and tasted the honey between them until she screamed out her climax, he certainly wasn't complaining.

The massage was not the last of Rowan's attempts to draw him into life onboard the cruise ship. Not that she tried to convince him to join her. It was simply that she refused to stay in the suite, and he wasn't about to leave her on her own with a ship full of men looking for a vacation romance, a one-night stand, or both.
