“I’ll head back.”

She stopped him.

“I’ll give you a ride back. We’ll be flying out. You might as well come with us since I know The Hunters have been wondering who has been doing the dirty deeds and claiming it was ‘Z’.”

He laughed.

“Oh, on an FBI jet.”

She stopped that.

“No, it’ll be a private Jet. Callen’s gets too much attention, so I’ll take Chris’.”

He snorted.

“LaRue, listen to yourself. What the hell?”

She was aware.

Only, she was willing to admit that money had its benefits. She used that money to help people like with the fee she just paid Lewis.

That saved The Hunters.

“I’d love a ride back. I get to sit my ass on a jet with a man who looks like he wants to eat my liver.”

Duke just stared at him.

“I won’t be the one who takes you out, Reaper,” he admitted.

“Oh, yeah?” he asked, lifting a brow.

He pointed at his sister.

“She’s the mean one. My big sister likes to hurt those who try to hurt me.”

He started laughing.

The man wasn’t wrong.

“Just be careful in New Orleans, big man. I hope you can hold your own.”

He simply raised a brow.

Oh, he’d hold someone over a swamp and feed him to the gators.

Hold his own?

He was freaking married to Axelle, and his sister was Elizabeth Blackhawk. Every day was holding his own.

He was a masochist.

Clearly.

“Get your gear, stash your ridiculously flashy car, and meet us at the airport.”

He gave Axelle a kiss on the cheek.

“See you, Red Queen. Cute baby. I’m not sure who I hope she takes after. This is a feisty gene pool.”
