Zayn stuck his head back into the room, curiously.

Only, he was disappointed.

All three of them said the same thing.

“Classified.”

“I hate all of them,” he said.

When there was a knock on the door, he went back to that and left them to work.

“Okay, taking the Savages hostage might be a plan in case we need to lure her in.”

Merry laughed.

“Yeah, again, not a good plan,” she said. “I’m using this life, and that man. I’d like to keep us out of the plan as bait. I expect it, but I’m not doing it.”

She understood.

Only, she would only do it if it was a last case scenario.

“I won’t put it into play, Merry, unless we can’t catch her. If we need to, we may have to.”

She stared at her.

“Do you remember the last plan where we used bait? It was just last week. That ended up with Jagger beaten up and down for days. You dinged up my Savage, Major.”

She sighed.

“Have I dropped the ball yet?”

Merry stared at her, and said nothing. She was a firm believer in not taking chances. They’d gone to that rodeo, and she didn’t want to go there again.

Maura got the hint.

“I’m not saying it’s the plan. We’re going to hit the warehouse and see what we find, but this is a surefire way to lure her out. We’d be outside the warehouse.”

Merry said nothing.

She was the hard sell because she had almost lost Boone when the drive by shooting happened. It took months to get the man back from that self-loathing and healing.

Her husband wasn’t worried.

“I’ll do it,” Boone says. “If it means stopping Artemis and slowing down this war, I’m in. I can play bait. We have Russians coming who are going to try and kill Maura and Jagger,” he said, talking to his wife. “And Jinx.”

Merry sighed.

Damn it.

He was giving her that look.

Finally, she caved.

“Fine. I’m in. If we can’t find her by tomorrow, I’ll play bait too.”

Maura appreciated that.

“I know this is scary, but if we have two separate pieces of information pointing us at this address, it’s likely not a trap. She likely didn’t realize that Lewis is on our side.”
