“MATE are we safe in here?” she asked.

The system hummed.

“You are. Proceed.”

Well, that was all she needed. They entered the room, everyone else stepping over the tripwire to join her and spread out.

It didn’t take long.

“Look what I found,” Eve said, passing a folder to Jinx, who passed it to Maura.

“What?”

Oh, they found a goldmine.

“Look inside.”

When Maura opened it, she saw a man in a picture, and under it, scribbled in pen, was a name.

‘Alexsandr Dominik.’

She couldn’t believe it.

Artemis, the CIA spook of all spooks, had done what no one could.

That bitch found him and left it for them to get their Marine hands on it.

“Holy fuck. We have his face.”

That they did.

And that made their jobs easier.

Now, she needed to get this back to the people at Chartres in case they didn’t make it back. This was all too easy, so that meant it was a trap, or they’d finally beaten Artemis to the punch.

Someone had gotten complacent and didn’t know they were as good as they were.

“Merry, can you use the camera attached to the vest to scan the picture? We can’t turn the lights on.”

“I can. Hold it up.”

When she did, they saw a beam and then Merry’s voice.

“It’s captured. I’m adjusting the light quality, and will have it before you get back. Still bring the hard copy.”

Oh, she would.

“Start running it through street cameras and anything else that can ID faces outside the country. We need to get a lock on him as soon as he lands. We know Friday, but I want to make sure.”

Jagger broke the silence.

“I want to be his welcoming party when he lands. I want to make his life hell the second he shows up to the party.”

Oh, they all heard it.

Mikey O’ was NOT happy.

When her phone vibrated, she pulled it from her pocket as everyone else continued to scour the room.
