As they went out into the courtyard, Zayn used his phone to shut down all the lights with an app. The darkness fell, and all that they could hear was the tinkling of water in the fountain not far away.

Then, the inside and last gate opening.

Someone had to be using some pretty high-tech gear to break the code on the gate.

This had to be CIA.

Oh, they all hated those assholes.

As the figure moved closer, they saw that the person was in heavy duty Kevlar.

Someone came to do some bad shit.

Glancing over to where Mamba and Adder were tucked, he knew they were about to strike.

So, he took his chance.

Stepping out, he whistled, getting the man to spin toward him. When he pulled his gun, Zayn put his faith in the women in his family.

Jinx came out, kicking the man’s legs out from under him, and he went down to his back. As soon as he did, Eve was on him, sinking her knife into his throat.

“Have fun,” she said. “In Hell.”

The man gasped and died there in the courtyard.

The Marines waited, and no one else came. After five minutes, Zayn turned the lights back on. It was when Rogue came out, holding a gun, that they finally checked out the ‘victim’.

“Are you guys okay?” he asked, going to his wife’s side.

“Yeah, let’s see what we can find on him,” Zayn stated.

They dug through his pockets.

They found nothing.

“He’s clean,” Eve said. “Only, that’s CIA body armor. He’s going to be a spook. Someone called out the dogs on us, and I doubt it was Artemis. Her boss.”

Well, that wasn’t good.

“Let’s get rid of the body, and I’m going to text Elizabeth. The CIA is a pain in our asses.”

Yeah, it really was.

Now, they had to stay hidden.

“I’ll text the Major, so she knows what’s going on when she comes out of the swamp,” Eve said.
