“I love you, Storm,” he said, trailing those kisses across her cheek, jaw, and throat.

She was his, and he was so damn grateful.

Storm deserved nothing less than all of him, and even broken, he was still enough for her.

They were enough.

There was nothing in life he wanted more than her. He knew that. She would be enough.

His wife.

His heart.

God.

As he heard his own thoughts and was trapped in that dream, he wanted to be sick.

Please stop, he begged the universe.

Please. I’m not strong enough.

The universe ignored him, and the dream continued.

Storm fell into the kisses and moaned. The whole time, Gamble’s hands wandered, soothing like they always did. The man just understood what she needed.

Him.

Tenderness.

Love.

With him, there was only perfection.

Her Gamble.

Lifting his head, he stared into her eyes. He fought the words, wanting to rage, but the dream had him trapped, and he was helpless to fight it.

“I want to make love to you. I want you to wake up every day and have you reach for me. Now I can’t imagine not having you as my wife, Storm.”

Oh, she understood.

Here…

Here was love.

“Make love to me, Gamble. I need you. I want to be with you.”

He wanted to shove her away, pushing against the dream, but he could feel her fingers, her flesh, and what wouldn’t he give for one more moment with the woman who murdered his child?

God.

He deserved this damnation.

His mouth took hers, and he held nothing back. With Storm, she didn’t mind when he was a little more forceful. While he wanted to be gentle, he craved her.

He needed her.

“I’m sorry,” she said as he walked her backward and toward their bed.
