“Take it off,” Adrianna said, her demeanor making it clear they were in a hurry.

“Good morning to you too,” Sienna said and felt better when Adrianna momentarily lifted her head to give her a small smile.

“I’m sorry, hon,” Adrianna said, giving her an apologetic look. “They’ve only given me fifteen minutes to get you ready. I’m good, but I’m not that good.”

“What are you talking about? You’re a fucking miracle worker,” Sienna teased, trying to keep the mood light.

Adrianna grinned and handed Sienna the outfit she picked for her. It was a semiformal business attire that made her look like the most badass female boss, which in a way she really was now. Before Sienna put on a shirt, Adrianna gave her a white bulletproof vest, easily disguisable under the shirt, especially when she’d cover it with the jacket of a suit as well.

When Sienna was done, she and Adrianna joined the others in the living room. The heirs looked sharp in their black designer suits. Aiden was the only one who looked a bit uncomfortable, but that was to be expected because he always preferred sweatpants over anything else. Tina was also there, dressed in similar fashion as Sienna. They looked like a group of successful businessmen who were ready to nail down their next big deal.

“Shall we?” Sienna asked, ready to get this party started.

Jensen looked at his brothers. “You have your weapons?”

Xavier nodded in confirmation while Jaxon lifted his pants higher to show off his right ankle and the piece he had strapped there.

“We’re all set, brother,” Aiden replied, looking somber.

The heirs weren’t happy with the plan, but they had no choice in the matter. Sienna wasn’t their hostage anymore and the Lockwoods wouldn’t like to see her treated that way.

The Carrington heirs were the only people in the world right now that Sienna trusted with her own life. She was glad they agreed to accompany her and keep her safe. Her biological father sent his private military forces along as well, but they were to be kept in the shadows, waiting for Kyle to appear.

All the eyes would be pointed at the Aghayan office building and the areas around it. The satellites were maneuvered that way, but the police had been dispatched to the other side of the city to make sure that they wouldn’t get in the way of them apprehending Kyle and his goons.

“How are we getting there? Which car are we taking?” Sienna asked, realizing for the first time that there were too many people to fill one car.

“We’re taking the Dodge Durango,” Jensen replied, not missing a beat. “It has tinted windows and is completely bulletproof. Aiden will drive, Jaxon will sit in the front with him, I’ll be in the middle with you, and Xavier in the back with Tina.”

The seating arrangement didn’t come as a surprise to the other heirs while Tina and Sienna took it in with a nod. Adrianna walked them to the garage where Mr. Carrington, Angel, Mr. Lockwood, and Mrs. Lockwood already waited for them.

“All set?” Mr. Carrington asked.

Jensen nodded. “We’re as prepared as we can be given the circumstances and different variables.”

“If my daughter gets hurt, I’ll have your head,” Mr. Lockwood said, aiming the threat at all the Carringtons.

“No one will get hurt, except Kyle,” Jaxon assured him with his characteristic ease.

Angel approached Sienna and pulled her into a surprising hug. It took Sienna a moment before she wrapped her arms around him, returning a hug just as fiercely.

“Don’t get killed,” Angel whispered. “I think I might like having an older sister.”

“Yeah? Well, I heard that little brothers are a pain in the ass,” Sienna joked, then pinched Angel’s cheek for good measure. He rolled his eyes and let her go, into their mother’s waiting arms.

“Stay safe,” she murmured into Sienna’s hair, stroking it with gentle and calm rhythm.

“I will,” Sienna promised her, then added with more confidence than she felt, “Everything will be okay.”

To her surprise, her father also gave her a hug, although it was a lot shorter. He pulled away and caressed her cheek instead.

“I hate putting you in danger like this, especially now that we just got you back,” he told her.

“We don’t have any other option. It’s our best chance to end this nightmare once and for all.”

“I know,” he said with a sad smile. “My guys will make sure that he doesn’t get anywhere close to you.”

Sienna nodded, unsure of what else to say. Adrianna gave her a small wave, her eyes full of tears. Angel kept a protective arm around her shoulder and Sienna felt better knowing that her best friend and her brother had found each other. At last, she turned to the Carrington heirs and gestured with her head to the car. “Let’s go.”
