“Like you and I were?” Jaxon asked with mock innocence.

“Or you and I?” Xavier added, then looked at Sienna who bit her lip to stop herself from teasing her friend.

“Just admit that you miss me,” Adrianna said with a confident smile.

Jaxon came up to her and put his hand around her waist, pulling her closer to him. Sienna narrowed her eyes, not because she’d be jealous but because if there was anyone that Adrianna could settle with, it was Jaxon. Sienna hoped that he wasn’t aware of it, otherwise, this move would confirm that he was an idiot that she sometimes suspected him to be.

“What will you do without the rock in your world?” Jaxon asked her.

Adrianna’s brows furrowed and she shook her head. “What the fuck are you talking about?”

“I’m the one that rocks your world,” Jaxon explained, and everyone in the room collectively groaned and rolled their eyes.

“You’re so fucking lame,” Xavier told him, then pointed at the table. “Shut up and eat.”

Sienna took the opportunity and sat next to Jaxon, who smiled happily at her.

“Do you want to have your world rocked?” he asked, still insisting on making a fool of himself.

Playing along, Sienna leaned closer and whispered. “You know it, but only if you give me a massage first.”

Jaxon’s eyes gleamed with interest and desire. There was no doubt that she had his attention. Without hesitation, he nodded, and the matter was set.

CHAPTER 4

Thebreakfasthadalmostfinished when she finally gained the courage to ask the heirs for a favor.

“I would like to go visit Tina,” Sienna told them, forcing herself to look them in the eyes.

She braced herself for a stream of rejections and excuses to which she didn’t have a proper reply, but she wouldn’t give up. To her surprise, instead of immediately jumping on their feet and causing a scene, the heirs only exchanged a few glances.

“I’ll go with you,” Jensen told her, and Sienna smiled in relief.

“Thank you,” she said, meaning it.

“We sort of expected you to want to go sooner or later,” Aiden explained, correctly reading her expression. “It’s normal that you’d want to talk to her and clear things up.”

“Someone else should go with us,” Jensen said and looked at his brothers. “It’d be safer that way.”

“I can’t, I have errands to run and it’s better I do them alone,” Aiden said with an apologetic shrug.

“I’m testing a new software surveillance that might help us locate Kyle and end this farse once and for all,” Xavier said rather excitedly.

Jensen looked at Jaxon, who was caught in the middle of chewing his bread. He didn’t crack underneath Jensen’s stare and took his time to swallow, then smiled.

“Except that one little thing, which in reality is quite big, that I have planned with the lady of the hour herself, my schedule is wide open,” Jaxon said with a grin.

Sienna rolled her eyes at his blatant attempt to fish for compliments, but even she couldn’t deny that his thing was far from little.

“Perfect,” Jensen said, nodding to himself. “We leave in three hours.”

“Three hours?” Sienna asked, unsure why they needed to wait so long.

“It’s the middle of the week,” Jensen said as if it was self-explanatory, then added, “Tina has things to do, and we can’t be sure she’ll be in the Aghayan mansion without announcing ourselves first. That’s how things work. One person calls, makes the arrangement, and then the meeting happens.”

“Where would she be if not at home?” Sienna asked, glancing at Adrianna who just shrugged.

“She’s lived with the Remingtons for years. She not only has the information that might prove to be useful, but she’s also been through a lot and needs to talk about it with the professionals,” Aiden said, sounding like he knew what he was talking about.
