I smile at Ryan Blackwood, and his eyes blink in recognition, but then his tired, painful, haunted gaze drifts to his brother.
“It’s good to see you back with us, Ryan. You gave us quite a scare for a minute,” I say.
He smiles at me.
“I’ll let you two visit. I’m sure there’s plenty you need to talk about,” I say, backing out of the room.
Nitro glances my way and says, “I need to talk to you. Don’t go too far.”
My heartbeat ramps up again. In all the excitement of Ryan waking up, I almost forget that my life is in danger. Maybe now that Ryan has woken up, they can find the men who did this, and I’ll be safe again.

“So, what are you proposing?” I ask.
“Same as I said before. You come with me.”
“I don’t know where that is, who you are, or anything about you,” I hiss.
“Where is the clubhouse.”
“The MC Clubhouse?”
“Yes.”
“You have got to be kidding me!”
“No.”
“Hell no!”
"Look, I can guarantee your safety there. My brothers would die before they allowed anything to happen to you.”
“I’ve heard rumors about what happens in those places.”
“Don’t give a fuck about your rumors. I can show you firsthand what goes on there.”
