The second time I’ve made a fool of myself, and it doesn’t help matters that his dick is pressing against my thigh. He looks down at me with hooded midnight-colored eyes, and my heart skips a beat as my pussy pulses. This fine-ass man shouldn’t be looking at me like this.

I continue staring at him as his warm breath caresses my face when he lowers his head toward mine. I meet him halfway. His other arm wraps around my waist, and I reach back as his lips brush mine and snatch my phone from his hand.

Pushing against his hard, damp chest, I find myself freed from his embrace but not from the power of arousal that he’s created within me.

Those lips and that chest were more than I imagined. Licking my lips as I walk away, I want more. Yet, I haven’t forgotten that he’s the enemy.

“You really should step up your game,” I say, sauntering past him with my phone as I swipe it open to go to the security panel.

He’s right. I should have a lock on my phone. There’s never been any reason that I needed one before now. I keep it locked at work, and there’s only Tiff and me at home.

“You really should start wearing underwear.”

When I turn to flash a sneer at him, he cups himself, licks his lips and says, “Or don’t.”

“You’re so damn crass. Such an asshole,” I mutter, plopping down on the couch and tugging the t-shirt down. Nitro sits right beside me.

I can see it now in the broad light of the living room. He’s been in a fight. There are bruises on his cheek and jaw, and his eye is starting to darken.

“Are you okay?” I ask, reaching out to touch his jaw.

He jerks back and grabs my hand, stopping me as he pulls me against him. Nitro looks down at me, his dark eyes flashing as he licks his lips.

“I’m better now.”

I pause briefly, trying to regain my breathing. “I...was talking about the bruises. You’ve been in a fight.”

“Lifestyle of a Sinner. It’s more common than you’d know,” he says with a cocky smirk.

I don’t like that, but I can’t argue with that.

“Guess I forgot,” I say, pulling away from him.

Something akin to desire flashes in his eyes. Hoping to ignore his dominating presence, I spin away quickly, turning my attention to my phone to set up an easy pin. Zeus is asleep in his doggie bed on the other side of the room.

“So...did you neutralize any threats while you were out?” I ask, not looking up at him.

“Not the one that matters most,” he says huskily, forcing me to look away from my phone and up at him.

The look in his eyes is about to send me over the edge.

“Why do you keep looking at me like that?”

“Like what?”

“Like you want to fuck me.”

“Cuz I do.”

“What’s stopping you?” I boldly ask.

“You belong to my brother.”

“What? I belong to no one.”

“Well, does he know that?”

“Know what?”
