“You can hyphen your last name if you don’t want just my last name,” he grins.

“Basque,” I sniffle. He holds up his hand that is holding a black ring box. He opens the box, revealing a beautiful ring.

“It’s been hanging out in my pocket for the past six months or so,” he admits bashfully.

I always love seeing the softer side of him. He’s always so rugged and powerful when filling the role of enforcer and now the role of underboss. When he’s shy, it makes him seem vulnerable and to me, it shows how much he cares for me.

“So…” he takes a deep breath. “FelicitySantoro,” he chuckles, making me laugh, “will you do me the honors of making me the happiest man on the planet by becoming my wife?”

“Yes. A thousand times yes,” I shake my head.

Basque takes the ring out of the box and slips it onto my finger. At that moment, it’s like all the pieces of life’s puzzle came together. All of my worries, troubles, and strife dissipate in an instant. There isn’t a doubt in my mind that Basque is the man for me.

He stands up, pulls me in his arms, and kisses me. Those in the room cheer, clap, and drum the table. It’s been a long time since this room was filled with joy and happiness.

“Kiss her any longer and I’m going to shoot you, Basque,” Nico chuckles, ending Basque and my kiss. I rest my head on Basque’s chest.

“I thought he killed you,” I giggle.

“Trust me, I wanted to kill him,” Nico replies before Basque could speak.

“Mia saved me,” Basque laughs. I look over at Mia. She isn’t in her chair. She’s sitting on Nico’s lap smiling at me.

“Thank you, Mia,” I smile.

I should have known that sneaky minx had something to do with all of this. Here I was feeling sorry for her and the babies, but she was fooling me this whole time. Once she and I are alone, I’m going to give her an earful. Or maybe just hug her for hours since she’s a saint for saving Basque.

Chapter Ten

Basque

We pull up to Carmella’s Estate. Felicity looks at me confusingly, which makes me laugh.

“What, Beautiful?” I ask, grinning.

“I thought I was moving out?”

“You are. Out of the main house,” I grin, opening my door and making my way over to her side. Gregg begins to open the door and I frown. He chuckles and takes a step back.

“My apologies, Sir,” Gregg jokes.

“Yeah. Yeah,” I laugh. “You could have opened my damn door though, slacker.”

“Next time. I promise.”

I roll my eyes and then open Felicity’s door. She slowly gets out and looks around.

“Why are we here of all places?” she asks.

“Because this is our new home,” I say, holding her hand.

“Ournew home?”

“Unless you want to live here by yourself?” My eyebrow raises. She looks up at me and rolls her eyes.

“Why would I want to live somewhere without you?” she sasses, making the guys turn their heads to hide their smiles.

I laugh as I pick her up in my arms. She quickly wraps her arms around my neck. Most likely because she thinks I’ll drop her. This makes me laugh because she’s light as a feather.
