She had to get away from him.

Frantically, she searched for her dress and her shoes, and when Jagger came to the room and leaned against the door frame, and she hardened her heart.

"I have to go. My father declared bankruptcy, and all his hotels were auctioned off, and now it doesn’t matter if I marry Jeremy or not because he has nothing now, and he’s going to sink into a pit of despair... I have to leave."

She picked up her phone and called Amanda, but Jagger took the phone from her hand and handed her a few sheets of paper.

"Read them."

Everything was happening too fast for her. She read it twice—all the terms were simplified enough that there wasn’t any ambiguity or misleading legal jargon.

"I don’t understand... What does this mean?" She asked because surely it didn’t mean what she thought it meant, no matter how simple the language was.

"I found out too late that your father had already declared bankruptcy, so I bought all the hotels he owned at the auction yesterday."

"What? How?"

"We have money. The McCoy cocks are as big as our bank accounts, Kitten," he said, giving her a rare smile.

"But it’s... it’s in my name?"

"Because they’re yours to do with as you please."

"Why?"

"Because there isn’t anything in the world I wouldn’t do for you, Finley."

"Why?" she asked softly.

"Because I love you. Because you're mine. My universe. My world. My life."

Finley stumbled backward.

"No. No. I have to leave. I have to leave right now."

Her brain wasn’t functioning properly, and while she whirled around his room, she had no idea what she needed to do next in order to leave.

"Finley."

"No, I’m leaving." She screamed. "I can’t be here. You want to know why? Because you’ll break my heart. You’ll stop loving me, or you’ll get bored with me and leave, and I’ll end up like my father, who fifteen years later still lives like a ghost because my mom, the only woman he ever loved, just didn’t want him anymore. The only thing that keeps my father alive every day is his hotels. Without it, he'll wither away. But me... Jagger, if you stopped wanting me, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that will keep me alive." She wiped furiously at her tears.

"Do I look like a man who would discard his most prized possession? Do I look so weak to you that I would just suddenly stop wanting you? Do I, Finley?" He raised his voice, and Finley jumped.

"I don’t know, and that’s why I'm leaving," she said more forcefully. She picked up her phone, shakily sending Amanda a message to please come and pick her up.

"Then let me prove it to you another way," Jagger growled, grabbing her phone and throwing it across the room. He picked her up and tossed her into his bed, ripping the sheet off her in the process.

She still smelled like his soap from the last shower they had taken together.

Finley felt as if she were fighting for her life. If he touched her now...

But her attempts to escape him were futile.

He laid his body over hers.

"You think I won’t breed you just to keep you, Finley?"

He captured her wrists with a hand and planted them above her head. His other hand snaked down her body to cup her pussy.
