Sophie:I’m on my period. Started this morning.

Technically, I’m only spotting right now, but the last thing I need is to be having sex and bleed all over Hunter. The thought is mortifying.

Hunter:Okay…

Sophie:So, there won’t be any sex.

I clarify in case Hunter thinks that’s not an issue. For me it is. I’m all about trying new things, but period sex isn’t high on the list. It’s not on the list at all.

Hunter:You should still come over.

My to-do list is a mile long. With theBridesblog spotlight article coming out in August, I want to make sure I’m keeping up with new material.

Sophie:I would, but I need to record a few videos for my vlog.

Hunter:Can you do that here? I’ll be your cameraman. I know all the right angles.

Sophie:Your corny jokes aren’t convincing me to come over.

I tease him, but already I’m thinking the backdrop of Hunter’s apartment will be far better than my cramped room.

Hunter:I’ll order Kung Fu Kitchen.

Sophie:And those macarons they have?

Hunter:All the macarons.

Sophie:I’m in.

Hunter:See you at seven.

Hunter greets me at the door with a steamy kiss.

“I like this,” he says, sliding a finger under the thin strap of my one-piece bodysuit with shorts.

“Thanks. It’s kind of a pain in the ass to pee in because I have to get completely naked, but it’s so comfortable.”

He chuckles. “That’s exactly why I understand nothing about women’s fashion trends, but as long as it makes you happy.”

He shuts the door behind me and leads me into the kitchen, the dining table nearby already set with the food he ordered.

At first, being at Hunter’s place without the prospect of having sex feels strange, but after we eat and I consume half the container of macarons, I realize I’m too full for sex anyways.

After dinner, I’m putting together my mobile recording setup when Hunter steps in behind me.

“So explain how this works.”

“This is a camera. I know it’s smaller than what your generation used. Camcorders, they were called?”

When I turn to lift my brows mockingly, I’m met with Hunter’s teasing glare.

“Not the recording device.” He pinches my ass playfully and I scream before dissolving into a fit of laughter. “How does your blog work? Or is it a vlog because you do videos?”

“TheSustainable Wedding Chicstarted as a blog and then I noticed I was getting more response from the few videos I was doing, like tutorials and DIY videos, so I’ve been working to create more content on my YouTube channel and linking it to my blog.”

He nods. “That’s great. How can I help?”
