I tossed and turned for hours, but those blue eyes. I couldn’t stop thinking about them.

When Kostasand I made love last night, passionate and full of fire; it was Judas who I pictured in my mind.

Watching him shove Kostas away like he did. He was angry, humiliated. I enjoyed watching him shove off Kostas and storm off. I watched as his powerful body collected itself and stalked away from a war that was bigger than he was. Kostas’ relationship with these boys seemed complicated. Perhaps because of Hannah, but I wouldn’t assume that just because she isn’t my favourite person by far. I am more open-minded than that.

Judas’ little friend from that night must have been his boyfriend. The thought of Judas and another man together sent a shiver down my spine. I had already thought about what his dick could do to me many times. But watching him with someone else? My nipples pebbled, and I shifted on the soft bench in my closet.

I had let Kostas throw me, spank me, and fuck me. Each time I closed my eyes, it was Judas. Judas who pounded me from behind and pulled my hair. Judas who told me I was a naughty little slut. I liked his smart mouth, his tattoos. I’ll bet sex with him was wild and uninhibited. It was hard to find a person like that. I shuddered again at the thought. Resisting the urge to reach between my legs and relieve the throb between my legs.

Again.

I came three times last night. My body twitched as I made my way to the bathroom in a thin black robe. Before I could reach the door, I heard Jeno in his room. The door was cracked and curiosity getting the better of me; I looked inside.

Jeno was hunched over in the computer chair, his body jerking and his head lolling back. I had stood there and watched. I watched as his body jerked, collapsing onto himself. His body went still, and I turned to tiptoe back into the bedroom.

“Almost ready?” Kostas strode into the closet in two easy steps, full piece suit. He looked like Jason Momoa without the long hair.

A dream in a three-piece suit.

“I will be soon, just need to find the dress I’m looking for.” I sifted through the hangers of full dresses and Kostas remained in the doorway.

I stopped, looking over at him. His face looked perplexed, almost incredulous.

“Is everything ok?” I asked, turning to look at him.

“Alyssa, we’re going to be late. Let’s get it going faster.” He adjusted his tie and disappeared from my view, his heavy footsteps echoing down the hall.

“Fuck off.” I said, continuing my search for my black Kate Spade dress.

We pulled upto the mansion, and the valet was lined up, waiting to take expensive car keys from the array of business executives and women.

Richard Davenport was one of the wealthiest men in Texas. He bought a summer home here about five years ago and was known for his Lobster Festivals and Charity Banquets. He has also become a recent slip holder at Augustine’s. He complimented me on my ‘sharp business skills and charismatic demeanour’, and it only took one season at our marina until he asked me to become a business partner. It may simply be because he wanted to fuck me. A mistress as the best-case scenario. But it turned out Richard had lots of great ideas, and one would help me navigate my tricky situation.

Eloquent signs detailed the events schedule, along with a large champagne fountain. I grabbed a flute and marvelled at the chandeliers. Kostas pulled on my arm, trying to get me to follow. I looked down at his hand wrapped around my wrist and yanked it back. He turned to me, grabbing my upper arm, hard.

“What the fuck is wrong with you? You’ve been acting like a rabid bitch all day.” His eyes were wide, and I could smell the alcohol on his breath. I squinted my eyes at him until he looked blurry. My cheeks were hot, and my initial instinct was to smack him in the face. I didn’t though.

“Maybe I should ask you the same question. Why are you so angry?” I stood in place; fists clenched. People stared and walked around us, but I didn’t give a shit. Let them stare.

“Okay, okay. Let’s not make a scene here. You’re acting crazy.” He took a step back and laughed a little, acting as if it was all just in fun. But being called a crazy bitch isn’t fucking fun. I huffed but turned on my heel and kept walking. As I strode away from him, I forced myself to smile. I was here for a reason. I didn’t need him for any of this.

He needed a job. He needed me. And here it was on a silver fucking platter.

“Alyssa! My favourite little snow white!” Richard’s wife greeted me by taking both my hands in hers. She kissed my cheeks and beamed with her professionally done makeup.

Richard and Claudette had big plans for a ‘Dock & Dine’. I thought the idea was genius. I could help bring their idea to life.

“Claudette, you look so young!” Kostas appeared behind me, unfazed by our interaction.

He hugged and kissed her as Richard joined us. “Kostas. Alyssa, sweet girl. I believe this belongs to you.” He handed me a crisp check, and I grabbed it from it quickly, slipping it into my pocket. I’ve lost five slip holders just this week, all to a small and more affordable Marinas. I started taking personal checks directly, stacking them in a neat pile on my desk. It was like watching a ship slowly sinking into the water. Richard pulled me into a hug, crashing my petite frame into his pot belly.

“I’m well, Richard. I wanted you to meet Kostas, here he is.” I motioned my hands towards Kostas beside me, hands in pockets.

“Yes. I’ve heard so much about you.” Richard narrowed his eyes on Kostas’ face, then smiled.

“Have fun, you two. Mingle and try to make some…” Claudette rubbed her fingers together as they walked away together.

“Fun gal, she is.” Kostas laughed.
