Stripping, I got in the bath and sighed, wincing a little as the hot water enveloped me. He’d used one of my lavender bath bombs, and the bathroom smelled divine. Sinking back against the bathtub, I sighed in bliss, not that I’d relax for long. I was in a hurry to find out what was going on.My guess? Skinny had found some information out.

Half an hour later, I was dressed for the day and heading downstairs to find out what my man needed to tell me.

I came to a stop as I watched him pull the toast out of the toaster and start buttering it. I must have made a noise because he turned as I started walking towards the table, skirting it, I walked straight up to him and wrapped my arms around his waist in a hug. Tilting my head up, I rested my chin on his chest as I looked up at him. “You didn’t kiss me good morning,” I complained.

“I did, but you told me to get out and leave you alone. You were tired and wanted to sleep,” Draco said teasingly.

I glared up at him at the reminder of the early morning alarm going off.

“But that’s easily remedied,” Draco hurriedly declared at my look before bending and taking my mouth in a kiss that was both hot and sweet and lasted a long time. When he finished, he wrapped me in a tight hug, holding me against him.

I sighed in contentment, “Mmm, that’s better,” I breathed as I rubbed my cheek against his chest.

He chuckled, the noise rumbling through his chest. Releasing me, he tapped me gently on the arse and then pushed me towards the table, “Sit, Firecracker, your tea’s ready. I’ll bring breakfast over, and we can talk.”

Letting him go, I walked to the table and sat down, picking up my steaming mug of tea and took a sip, closing my eyes in enjoyment and savouring the taste. It was made just how I liked it. Strong and sweet with lots of milk.

Draco put a plate of toast and scrambled eggs in front of me and I dove right in. I was starving. We were quiet while we ate and once I was done, I pushed my plate away from me, tucking one leg under me and pulling the other one up on the chair. I wrapped my arm around it while I sipped on my tea and waited for Draco to finish.

As soon as he pushed his plate away, I asked, “Well? Did Skinny find something?”

Draco shook his head, “Not something. Someone. He found someone willing to talk to us about this Badger wanker, but the guy wants to meet us face to face. He doesn’t want to talk over the phone.”

“Okay, when are we going?”

“Uh huh, not we. You’re staying here until I know what’s going on. I don’t want you near this guy.”

I could feel the anger building in my gut, and he must have seen the look on my face because he doused that flame pretty quickly with his next words.

“It’s not that I don’t think you are capable of looking after yourself, Molls, I know you are. But I finally have my chance with you, and I don’t want you to get hurt. If you are with us, then my attention will be divided, and I may miss something.”

“Fine,” I muttered with a pout. “But the same goes for me. I don’t want anything happening to you either, so who are you taking with you?”

He paused, and I could see him thinking about it before he replied, “Probably Dragon and Cairo. I’d like Navy to stay here with you unless you’ll move into the Manor until I get back?”

I shook my head, “No, I’d like to stay here in our house if that’s okay. I have orders to fill today and tomorrow, so it’s easier if I stay here. I’ll get the spare room sorted for Navy. When are you leaving?”

Draco’s eyes warmed when I called it our house. And it was our house. I knew as soon as I’d allowed him in my body that he wasn’t going anywhere.

“We’ll leave today and be back tomorrow,” Draco informed me.

Dropping my leg back to the floor, I nodded before standing, leaning over, and pressing a kiss to his lips. “Okay, be careful,” I whispered against his lips before pressing another kiss to them.

“I’ll be careful,” he promised. Once I had his promise, I started clearing the table of our breakfast dishes while he made calls to his brothers to organise their trip.

I headed upstairs to strip the beds and put fresh bedding on. I wasn’t looking forward to my night without Draco. It seemed we’d just sorted our shit out, and now my problems were interfering.

CHAPTER 10

DRACO

I walked out of the house to the front porch to call Reaper first to let him know that I’d be taking Dragon and Cairo with me and that Navy would stay with Molly.

Then I call Dragon to fill him in and arrange for him and Cairo to come over to Molly’s in an hour for us to leave.

Finishing my calls, I headed upstairs to pack a bag for the night only to find that Molly had already done it and left it on the freshly made bed. I can’t have been on the calls for more than half an hour. The woman worked fast.

Grabbing my bag, I headed back downstairs and out the back door. After stowing my bag in one of the saddlebags on my bike, I headed out to the brewery.
