I look Ellie in the eyes as I admit my feelings. “I love you, Ellie.”
I watch as the tears pool in her eyes, “I love you too, Ryan.”
I kiss her deeply as I begin to make love to her again, showing her just how much I love her.
When we finally take a break from epic love making, Ellie looks at me, “Is there anything you want to talk about, that you can tell me?”
I think everything over, then tell her, “I will say it was my team's worst mission since I’ve joined the Special Ops Forces. We weren’t sure if we were going to make it home, and every night I prayed to be able to see you again. I knew while I was out there, that I was in love with you. You snuck into my heart, maybe before we even met in person, but definitely when we spent the week together. You are everything I didn’t know I needed or wanted, Ellie.”
I see the tears falling down her cheeks, and I wipe them with my finger. “What are you thinking?”
“I prayed every night that you and your team stayed safe and came home, and I’m so glad both happened. You had my heart from the moment you were honest of your intentions in your first email, and my feelings have grown from there. I want this for as long as we can have it. I will never walk away willingly, I will always be there with an email, a skype date, and a hug when you get off the plane, just as long as you can promise me today, one day at a time.”
“I will promise you today, every day, no matter where I’m at. I never expected to open my heart again, but knowing you are here, makes the future look brighter, and gives me the knowledge that there is that one special person for everyone, and you are mine. I will love you always and forever.”
“I will be here for it all always and forever. I love you, Ryan.”
“I love you, Ellie.”
We seal our promises with a kiss.
