Not backing down, I tip my head back.

“Maybe I don’t mind being a notch.”

He leans an inch closer, crowding me enough for my already thumping heart to leap into my throat.

“I do.” He stands straight again, the amusement coiling around his lips. “And I don’t share.”

What the fuck?

“I’m not yours to share. And maybe the grass is greener on Logan’s bedpost.”

With a menacing step forward, I’m forced into the corner, my palms flat against the granite, trying to provide some support to my shaky knees.

I’m suddenly grateful for the size of this kitchen, and how the guys are too occupied with their conversation to notice us.

“Jealousy doesn’t look good on you, Jake.”

It looks fucking amazing on him.

I squash the corrupted and damaged thought to the back of my mind.

“But you look incredible on me.”

“Do you always have an answer for everything?”

“Do you always get this wet when you argue with me?” The words roll off his tongue like ecstasy, knocking what little air I have from my lungs as my treacherous body trembles.

I scoff, my eyes leaving his to compose myself.

“Don’t answer my question with a question.” I press forward on my tiptoes. “I’m not a possession. Put your penis away and stop pissing a circle around me.”

He ignores me, running the pad of his thumb across my cheek. When his breath hits my ear, my eyes roll.

Bastard.

“It turns you on to argue with me. You enjoy it.”

I do.

“No. I don’t.”

Leaning back, I press my hand to his chest. “It’s a pity there are other people here. You could check for yourself.”

“Then don’t make a sound.”

My eyes go wide, a sharp inhale setting my lungs on fire as his hand slips inside my sleep shorts.

I bite down on my lip to stop the moan and try not to squirm too much to avoid catching the attention of everyone behind me.

Dipping his fingers inside the thin material, a smug grin captures his features. The rest of the kitchen and everyone in it melt away.

“Liar,” he breathes, slipping a finger across my core.

I curse my body for giving him evidence that he’s right.

“I’m going to assume it’s not Lullaby Logan making you so wet right now.”

My eyes fall closed as he motions in circles around my sensitive heat, my knees buckling as I cling to his shirt.
