“What? You too,” Eden insists.
“I’ve got two kids to look after.”
“They’re more than welcome to stay the night here,” Cora offers.
“You watch them all the time. I couldn’t ask that of you.”
“I’ll watch them.” All eyes fall to Logan. I think my eyes are so wide they’ll pop out and roll to his feet.
“I can’t expect you to babysit.”
“Why not?”
“Yeah, why not?” Molly chimes in. “He used to watch Evie all the time.”
“You should go out and have some fun, Mom.” Hannah’s eyes are already closing.
“You should go out and have some fun, Mom,” Logan mocks, smiling at me. “I can handle these two. We both know Isabel will be asleep until morning and Hannah is already well on the way.”
“Uh huh,” she says through a yawn. “He’s right.”
“Really?”
Excitement bubbles in my stomach. The last time I went out was the night of the art exhibition and we all know how that went. I can’t remember the last time I had a girl’s night.
“Really. Go have some fun. You deserve it.”
“Fuck,” Kim mutters under her breath. “He just gets hotter.”
“Um…” I’m racking my brain for all the reasons not to go. I can’t find any. I look over at Kim’s expectant gaze. She wants to go. Honestly, so do I.
“Come on. When is the last time we got to go out together?”
That confirms it then.
“Okay, I guess.”
Molly and Eden holler while Kim wraps her arms around my shoulders with a squeal.
We hold our drinks up in toast. “Girl’s night.”

Logan
It’s only eleven thirty when I hear Archer’s truck pull into the driveway. Molly’s laugh booms long before I open the front door.
Archer has the window down when I step outside, sending silent pleas from the driver seat. “They haven’t shut up the entire drive home.”
I chuckle, not feeling the slightest bit sorry for him.
Molly, Kim, and Beth are so busy yapping, they don’t even notice me standing here.
“How was your night on babysitting duty?” he asks.
I roll my eyes. “I’m a pro, brother.”
Stumbling out of the back seat, Beth and Kim wrap their arms around each other.
