About twenty minutes from home, the sky opened up, pouring rain down on us. He took the ride slowly to avoid crashing. When we pulled into the garage, we were both laughing, absolutely drenched. I took off my jacket, but the rain had run down, soaking through my clothes. Ryder opened the house and grabbed two towels from the shelf in the laundry room as I took off my wet clothes. He undressed as well, wrapping a towel around my shoulders as my teeth chattered.

As he rubbed my arms to warm me up, I looked into his eyes. He looked back into mine and slowly leaned down, pressing his lips gently to mine. The kiss strengthened as I leaned into his warm body. He brushed his tongue over my lips and leaned down, picking me up into his arms. Slowly he carried me into the house and up the steps into my bedroom, laying me gently on the bed. He slipped out of his soaked boxers and crawled toward me, pulling my panties down and off. I unhooked my bra and tossed it to the side, reaching for him.

He climbed up my body and kissed my lips before moving back down, running his kiss along my stomach and down between my thighs. I gasped in pleasure as his tongue caressed my mound, lapping through my folds and gently around my clit. I moaned again as he caressed my body with his lips, moving back up to me and heatedly pressing his lips to mine. My legs opened and wrapped around him, feeling his hard cock rubbing against my wetness.

My hands rubbed down his back, and he reached up, taking both of them in his as he pushed deep inside of me. I gasped, my eyes rolling back as his body moved over mine. His hands ran down my arms and gripped my sides as he laid his face against my neck, breathing heavily. Again, the passion was there, even more so than before, but this time it was different. It was a deep-rooted need to be close, to feel the pleasure running from his body to mine, intertwined in throws of ecstasy.

With every push and pull, I could feel the tendrils of passion swirl through me, pulling me closer and closer to the edge. He lifted his head, his eyes heavy as his hips picked up speed, pushing deeper and deeper. I leaned up and kissed his mouth, feeling him grunt into me, releasing any facade of Ryder the guarded man. Instead, he was completely open, and I was to him as well. I whimpered against his lips as he pressed in deep, rolling his hips to me, pushing me even closer to the edge.

As my body tightened around him, he growled, pressing his forehead to mine as he exploded. I gripped tightly to him, my body stiff and the air trapped in my lungs as my orgasm built from the explosion of his warmth. The pleasure circulated through me, into him, and back again, pulsing harder than I had ever felt before.

Slowly we both began to relax, and he rolled to the side, pulling me to him. He looked deeply into my eyes and kissed me passionately. As Ryder rolled onto his back, he pulled me with him, and I snuggled into him, feeling him pull the covers up and over us. I was completely exhausted, my mind still swirling through the passion I had just experienced. Finally, with his warm arms wrapped around me tightly and the beating of his heart thumping beneath my ear, I fell asleep, never having felt so safe in my whole life.

The sound of birds chirping woke me, and I looked around for a moment before I realized where I was. I had gotten used to waking up in my room down the hall, but waking up in Amber's room surprised me. I wasn't used to spending the entire night with a woman, and definitely not when I woke up to an empty bed.

I turned over in her satin sheets and stretched, flashes of the night before, going through my mind. The smell of bacon and coffee pulled at my hunger. Though her bed was more inviting than any place I had ever been before, I dragged myself from the room and headed to my own to throw on some clothes.

Downstairs, I found Amber standing in the kitchen, eating a piece of bacon as she looked over the morning paper. She took a sip of her coffee and looked at me with a sheepish smile. "Morning. I was going to wake you in a few minutes. I know you're meeting with the guys today for your initial tux fitting for Daniel and Sicily's wedding. I made you some breakfast."

She motioned to the seat at the island where she had put a plate of bacon, eggs, and fruit with a cup of black coffee. "Thank you."

I sat down, my eyes lingering on her for a moment, noticing she was dressed far more relaxed than she usually did, and I hadn't picked it out for her. She was wearing a pair of jean shorts, a tight Henley with the top three buttons undone, and a pair of white simple tennis shoes. "You look nice."

She glanced down at herself. "Oh, yeah. We have a dress fitting today for Sicily, so I wanted to wear something easy to change in and out of. Besides, your outfit yesterday made me want to not have to squeeze into something couture every time I leave the house."

"I'm not such a bad influence after all," I replied with a grin.

She laughed and nodded. "I wouldn't go that far, but I definitely feel more comfortable."

I watched as she sipped her coffee, her hair beautiful, her lips full, and her body more sensual than I had noticed before. It took quite a bit to not force her to stay there and let me retake her, devouring her as my real breakfast.

Business. Business. Business.

I had to remind myself over and over that what we were doing was nothing more than playing house. I needed to keep my feelings…and my cock…to myself as much as possible. It was getting harder and harder with every passing day to tell myself that. Hopefully, letting the guys know about the situation would quell that want I had for her enough to get through this arrangement without catching too many feelings.

Chapter Eleven

Ryder

I stood up on the pedestal, my arms out to the sides as the tailor chalked the shell of a tuxedo. Daniel took a sip of his whiskey, looking around at the rest of us, all doing the same thing. "Seeing you all doing grown-up things makes me actually have a little hope for you saps."

Chase scoffed. "You're lucky I'm standing after the amount of alcohol I drank last night."

Guy chuckled. "Yeah, he was a bit off the rails last night. We've all got a bit of pent up anxiety going through us."

Brad scoffed. "It doesn't help that Daniel here has decided to throw a tea party with his bride-to-be for his bachelor party."

Daniel rolled his eyes. "I thought we were going to let that go."

Brad shook his head, swallowing a drink of whiskey. "No. You want us to let it go. I'm, however, holding on to it until the next poor schlub gets engaged and I can actually plan a real bachelor party."

Guy wiggled his brow. "Who knows, Brad, maybe you'll be the next poor schlub."

"Yeah, right," Brad laughed. "I am not the marrying type."

"That's what they all say," Guy teased. "Until she appears, and you're suddenly wound tight by the ropes of pure bliss."
