“What will you do to her when we take her to Cora’s?” Rick asked.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. He was annoying as fuck. I clenched my fists and punched him straight in the nose. He stumbled back and fell on his back.

“What the fuck did I tell you about asking too many questions?” I asked and grabbed his collar, picking him up. “What I do to her is not your concern. Is that clear?”

He stared at me wide-eyed, and I could see terror in his eyes. It made me smile. I enjoy fear.

“Yes, boss,” he muttered, trying to stop the blood coming from his nose.

I let go of him and he fell back on the floor.

I turned back around to look at the house. I hoped that she would come out soon. I was tired of waiting.

I decided to take her away sooner than I originally planned. My men were getting tired, and those disgusting humans were getting suspicious. There was a rumor going around that supernaturals were actually behind the inquisition and humans were starting to refuse to work as hunters.

I needed to get this over with. I needed her power so I could take over. I couldn’t risk those twins actually being alive and ruining my plans. I was not waiting another year until their 22nd birthday to find out if they exist. I couldn’t find them, and I took and killed every twin I could find.

She would have to be enough. When I felt her power, I knew I could execute my plans without the twins from that fucking prophecy. I just needed her.

Cora was almost done making a potion that would transfer her magic to me. It took her months, but she was finally close. The transfer will take some time as well. Based on her power, Cora thought it would take a month for the power to be transferred completely. But it could take longer. Cora will know for sure when she sees and feels her.

She will probably be dead by the end, but that is none of my business. She will die in that little cell we have prepared for her. I promised Calvin I would give her to him when I got what I needed, but I never told him the process could kill her. Now they can be together in death.

“What the fuck is it taking him so long?” I muttered.

“Maybe somebody tried to stop him,” Rick said, wiping the blood from his face. “How many people are inside?”

“I don’t know exactly,” I said. “Calvin said there were seven of them in the house in that old village. There could be more now. I never saw any of them.”

There better not be any complications. I will kill his bitch and make him watch.

I looked back at the house and almost squealed with happiness. The backdoor opened and my little power source came outside. The boy stayed behind, looking at her with a painful expression on his face.

A huge smile spread across my face as she walked toward me. She was really pretty. I must admit, Calvin had good taste.

I could feel her power calling out to me, and it was the most amazing feeling ever.

She came closer and stopped walking.

“Well, hello there, my little powerful witch,” I said and smiled at her.

“I am not yours,” she said, trying to sound brave.

Her voice was as melodic as her power. She was beautiful. I could see myself getting a taste of her before she died.

“Oh, my little witch, you are,” I smirked and grabbed her hand. “All of you belong to me now. I am really glad you decided to save your friend.”

She tried pulling her arm from my grip, but I tightened my grip and pulled her to me. Rick jumped behind her and placed a piece of cloth over her mouth. Her eyes widened, and she tried to fight him. I smiled at her attempts and watched as her eyes rolled back inside her head. Her small body fell limp in Rick’s hands.

I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder.

This was the beginning of the end for the human race.

CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX – Taken

Gabriel’s POV

I was lying on my bed, going through my phone, when I heard someone knocking on the bedroom door next to mine. It was Jacob’s room.
