“They are. Me too.” My eyes burrow their gaze into hers. I need her to feel the sincerity in them.

“Not yet.” She mumbles.

“Soon enough.” I untangle my hands from her hair. I stroke her sharp jaw. “I protect my family. I protect what’s mine, and you Elena, are mine!” I kiss her again. Less aggressive but no less full of passion.

The man in the chair is trying to get loose. My ears twitch against the near silent noise. I watch from my peripheral vision as he gets his legs free. I can feel Elena smile against my lips. My little psycho princess planned on him getting loose. She likes the fight.

I take her gun from her waistband and shoot the man in the knee. He screams. She pulls back from me. Looks at the man's wound, then me and back. I wonder what she is thinking. She didn’t stop me. She doesn’t look pissed.

“I wanted to shoot him first!” She says. I laugh. My Elena. Ever the Psycho Princess out for blood.

“How about you shoot him last?” Her eyes light up.

“You won't try to stop me?” She questions.

“Elena, when are you going to trust me? I told you. I'm not here to stop you. I want to stand beside you.” I hand her back the gun. Together I turn us so we face the hit-man.

My hands are wrapped around her hips. My mouth kisses her shoulder as I pull her ass to settle against my hard cock. “When this one is dead, you and I need to discuss this list of yours.”

“Not much of a list left.” She says proudly.

Honestly. I’m proud of her too. “Regardless. You are too important to me to be running around the streets killing by yourself. And the paperwork and money exchanges that are required to keep it from getting out to the public is a nuisance. You are a Mafia Princess. Soon to be Queen. There are better ways to do this.”

“I know.” Not a hint of regret or desire to change in her voice. “They aren't as satisfying though.” She lets out a huff. “Fine. He can be the last one.”

“Good. I can't have you running around hunting bad guys while you're pregnant.”

She gasps and puts a hand over her belly. “I'm not pregnant. We haven’t even had sex yet.” I scan her eyes. Looking for any sign that she is repulsed by the idea of kids with me. I don’t see it. In fact she cradles her stomach as though she is already carrying our child.

“Not yet.” I kiss her atop the nose.

“Who said I wanted kids?”

“You don't?”

“I do.” She replies quickly.

“Then what's the problem?”

“What if I don't want them with you?” I growl at her playfulness. My hips thrusting into her so she can feel how hard I am for her.

“The only person you are having kids with is your husband, which in a few weeks will be me.” I remind her.

“What if I don't want them now?”

“I'm not getting any younger babe, and the families need to know we'll have a blood heir for the next generation. They are grumbling enough about you coming out of nowhere and throwing them off their game.” I’m lying. Sort of. We will need an heir. That part is truthful enough. Technically though, I can wait. I’m not yet thirty so I have time. I don’t want to wait though. I want Elena bound to me in all ways.

“Ugh, fine. One kid.” She waggles one finger in my face. I nip at it. She laughs.

“Four.” I counter.

“Four?” She squeaks. “I'm not even sure I'm going to be a good mother to one.”

“You will be. And I'll be by your side for it all. We don't need to be perfect. We just need to love them and keep them safe.”

“That I can do.”

“I know you can babe.” I seal the deal with a kiss.
