I snort.
“Declan is a dick,” Kade points out. D responds by flipping him off and I start cackling.
“But a dick we love,” Noah teases. “But yeah, there’s an affection there, even with the insults that are still going on by the way. I think they’re more concerned about Scar meeting the dude than anything.”
I scoff, “I’m not that bad.”
“I relayed that to Alec and he’s currently laughing so hard Rachel said he’s crying.”
Everyone busts up laughing and now it’s my turn to flip the assholes off.
“Rachel said she’s excited to see the two of you go head to head but she’s fond of the asshole and needs to prep him so he doesn’t get stabbed,” Noah continues.
I grumble my dissent but can’t really argue. Not like I have the best track record.
“At least nowhere life threatening,” Noah amends for Rachel.
“Whatever,” I mutter. “Tell her we will see her tomorrow at Thorns.”
I rollover outof Ryder’s arms and peek over his shoulder to find Kade already awake. I stretch out carefully, raising my arms above my head as the sheet slips down to expose my breasts. A hungry gleam enters his gaze as his eyes rove over my chest.
I pretend to be oblivious. “Have you heard from Ian?” I ask instead of entertaining that look. Lord knows how many times Kade has taunted and teased me. He deserves some retribution.
“Mhm,” he answers, clearly distracted. “Him and Jade were at Steel Roses last night.”
I raise my brows and sit up a little straight, leaning more towards him. “What?” I whisper shout. I’m shocked but don’t want to wake up Ryder or Noah.
He snaps out of it a little to give me a guilty look. “Ian told Adam he could report to me but not to text you.”
“Fucking prick,” I curse, already ready to text Ian and rip him a new asshole.
“He said Jade needed the night out and knew you would show up to make sure she was safe.”
I roll my eyes but don’t deny it. “Don’t act like it’s not warranted. We’re in the middle of a war and she has a deranged stalker.”
“Ian is capable of keeping her safe,” he chastises me. It’s not like I’m not aware. I’m just not used to having so many people to worry about. Steel Roses isn’t as safe as it once was. It may very well be the most dangerous place of all for them to be. “Plus, sounds like they needed the space from us.”
“Oh?” I drawl slowly, my curiosity piqued. “Is that finally happening?”
Kade shrugs, far too smug. “Maybe, but they didn’t leave alone.”
I gasp before throwing a pillow at him. Fuck if I wake the others up. I can’t believe he’s been holding out on me like this. “Who?” I demand.
He catches the pillow and throws it off the bed. “Dare,” he answers, a wicked grin on his face. “Adam said he tried to give them privacy, but it was hard not to notice Dare and Ian hooking up at the table.”
My eyes widen as it dawns on me. Poison was all Jade’s idea. Well, not entirely, but it was her idea that sparked it. A place to watch, a place to explore. “Jade likes to watch.”
Kade nods as I think about that. Good for her. I guess we should probably leave them alone to figure their shit out.
Kade smirks and I gasp as I figure out why. A shiver runs through my body as Ryder’s teeth sink into my breast before flicking my nipple with his tongue. He sucks and a small moan escapes my lips.
“Did you think you could wake me up with your tits in my face and I wasn’t going to get a taste?” Ryder asks before dragging his tongue across my chest to my other breast.
I hum in response, already lost to his touch.
“That’s one way to shut her up,” Kade teases. I can’t even bring myself to care enough to respond to him.
Heat spreads across my back and I realize Noah is also awake as he pushes the sheet lower and presses against my body. “I can think of a few ways to do that,” he adds.
