I laugh, pulling back from Noah to wipe my face. With the shock of it all, I look at the tickets again. They are for April. Two weeks in Ireland.

“I love you so much,” I say.

“I love you too, sweetheart.”

“I love you, my king.”

“I love you, my queen.”

I hear snuffling and turn to see Elsie wiping her face. “You youngins make this old gal so happy.”

We all converge on her, rocking the chair she is in with our group hug. As if today could get any better. Family, friends, and happiness.

There isn’t anything else in the world that any of us needs or wants. We have found it together in the little town of Seaside.

Goes to show you, miracles are always in front of you, you just have to be ready to snatch them up.

Chapter11

Brenna

PRESENT DAY

Do you ever think your life is an actual dream? Like you're going to wake up one day and realize it was all just imaginary? I used to have the best dreams, only to wake up and find out they weren't real. Not this time. This time my dream became reality.

I thought I was dreaming about this wonderful life, where I had Mara and the boys, and we had our dream wedding on the beach and lived happily ever after. Guess what? It wasn't a dream. I pinched myself, just to make sure, and it fucking hurt!

I'm a married woman, who has the love of my life sleeping next to me, and we're leaving for Ireland in the morning. A double wedding with my bestie and now a double honeymoon. I could cry right now just thinking about it, but I think I'm all cried out from yesterday. It was the most beautiful day of my life, and I'll cherish it always. We're going to Ireland! Are you kidding me right now? It's been on Mara's and my bucket list since we were teenagers, and now we finally get to check it off our list. To say I'm excited is an understatement of epic proportions.

I sneak out of bed, kissing Abel on the cheek, as I'm too antsy to sleep. Hippie follows me, like any faithful pup would. Mara and Noah decided to stay the night in a hotel, and Elsie is at our house for Hippie. We packed everything for our trip days ago, knowing it'd be too big of a rush after the wedding.

We've all talked over our plans for when we get back from Ireland too. I'll move in with Abel, and Noah will move in with Mara. We're only a few minutes away from each other, so it won't be a huge change. Only I won't have Mara to run to in the middle of the night when I need a bestie chat. Scratch that. Who am I kidding? I'll walk my ass down the road, even if Noah doesn't like it. He knows I do what I want, when I want, and it's just part of the package that is me and Mara. You marry one, but you'll always have to deal with the other. At first, we wanted both boys to move into our house, but decided that might be bad. All of us under one roof? Something's bound to go wrong, aka Mara murdering Abel.

Your wedding day is what every little girl dreams of. With my best friend by my side, we married the loves of our lives. It wasn't an easy road getting there, but it was well worth it in the end. Mara and I decided to combine our favorite colors, flowers, and place for the big day. In my opinion, of course, it couldn't have turned out better.

We went with sunflower bouquets, cream-colored floor-length lace dresses, with yellow and white daisy crowns. Princesses need their crowns, after all. Simple yet elegant. Beach weddings call for bare feet, so all of us did just that. Our guys wore cream and white suits and looked absolutely delicious. We even got Hippie a cream bowtie with little sunflowers on it. He was the most handsome boy ever!

It was small and intimate, with Elsie, Dana, Cindy, Nicholas, and Spencer standing by our sides. They're our closest friends, and the people we trust and love the most. In other words, it was perfect.

I rub over my wedding ring on my finger, remembering yesterday's events. It was a definite Hallmark moment. I may cuss like a sailor and flip my middle finger more than I should, but I'm a romantic at heart. Just don't tell anyone.

The ordained ministerasked those famous last words, "Do you take Brenna to be your lawfully wedded wife?" and without hesitation, Abel screamed yes at the top of his lungs. He also didn't wait for the minister to speak again and kissed me like his life depended on it. Like I was the embers that ignited his fire. Everyone laughed, and we all screamed together. Elsie and the girls were a sobbing mess with Hippie whining next to them. Spencer knew Abel was crazy so he gave him an air high five. Boys will be boys, ya know?

Hippie had no idea what was going on. My poor boy was in excitement overdrive. The moment he had a chance, he broke free from Elsie and the leash she held in her hand and pounced on Abel. Abel went ass up in the sand with a very excited Hippie on his chest. I damn near peed myself at the hilarious sight. Abel took one look at my face and darted up so fast, I never saw it coming. He scooped me up into his arms and ran straight to the ocean, ceremoniously throwing me into the freezing cold water. That wasn't the kind of wedding day gift I was expecting from my husband.

Husband. I really liked the sound of that word. Anyways, it was all in fun and celebration, so how could I be mad?

Mara, on the other hand, took one look at Noah and warned, "Don't even think about it, hot stuff. You'll be picking pieces of your balls out of the sand for days!" He knew better than to defy her too. So instead, being the gentleman that Noah was, he helped me out of the water then took one look at Abel, who was still sitting in the water laughing his ass off, and body slammed his brother. They looked like two toddlers having a splashing match. I couldn’t with these two. Yet, somehow, it brought the biggest smile to my face.

"Are you sure you two are ready for this? I can already see you're going to have your hands full. Congratulations, though. It was a beautiful ceremony and you all looked gorgeous."

Cindy made a valid point. Luckily, we already knew we'd have our hands full, and I wasn’t one to ever back down from a challenge. Mara, on the other hand, might go bonkers. She not only has to deal with me for the rest of her life, but she also has my carbon copy to deal with now. Many prayers went out to my girl. Good thing she's tough as steel, that's all I’ve got to say.

"Thank you, Cindy. I'm so glad you were a part of it. You're stuck with us now. Are you okay with that? Once you're a part of our clan, there's no turning back. Just know, we love and protect what's ours."

I left it at that, but I think Cindy knew what I was saying. We've grown a lot closer over the past few months, and I only want what's best for her. Her ex douche canoe is a piece of work. I thought Mara's ex, dickless Dale, was the worst kind of scum. I mean, he totally is, but Cindy's ex takes the cake. The guy needs his dick cut off and stapled to his forehead. I'd volunteer my ass off for that job.

He's been leaving cryptic messages for her the last several months, and I know eventually, he'll show his face. When he does, he's going to be sorry. Cindy tries to keep us at a distance, for our safety, but it's a battle she won't win. If our past shows anything, it's that our gang sticks together, and we'll fight for each other. We've been down this road before with dickless Dale, and it didn't go well for him. His ass is in jail tending to the needs of Big Bert. I'm sure he'd be down for a throuple.
