“You’ve never told me that before,” she said softly.
He brushed the hair back from her face. “She knew something had changed, but she wasn’t sure what’d happened. I felt awful about it. I’d been with her for a year by then, and we’d had a good time. But I didn’t feel for her in a year what I felt for you in that single second.”
Gigi curled her arms around his neck and kissed him.
Cameron fell into the kiss as he lifted her into his arms and turned them to press her against the wall. Nothing in his life could compare to the bliss he’d found with her, and to have her back in his arms after fearing that might never happen again was like coming home to the place he was always meant to be.
She worked a hand between them and tugged at his belt.
He came to his senses long enough to realize what she was doing. “Gigi. Are you sure?”
“Yes. Please… I want you.”
That was all he needed to hear. He pulled at the button and zipper to his pants and had them down around his hips in a matter of seconds.
When she untied the silk robe, he discovered he’d been right. She had nothing on under it.
The sound that came from deep inside of him, part growl, part desperation, took them both by surprise.
