“What about you?” I ask.

“I still want to kill him,” he says roughly. “But I won’t.”

“He’s not worth the effort. I keep telling myself he was influenced by a man that knew exactly what he was doing.”

“I want to kill Jason, too.” He squeezes my hip.

“I appreciate your control.”

“I want to make a deal with you.”

“What? What kind of deal?” I push up to lean on my elbow.

“We want you. We will always want you to be ours. Give us some time to convince you to complete the bond. You live here. We go on dates, get to know each other more, and do whatever it takes to make you sure of us. I realize we have his uncle to deal with during this time, too. Hopefully, we can take care of that quickly. If you feel uncomfortable or don’t want to be here, you can go at any time. We don’t want to force you. But if you stay here and give us a shot, you make the choice in the end. We hope you choose us.”

“You’d let me go?”

“Not easily. Unless you are a shifter, you can’t understand how the bond affects us. All we can see is you. We have a constant burning in our chests, pushing us to be near you, feel you. Fuck, even to just hear your voice. Our wolves have already claimed you. We have to fight to keep from shifting. They want to meet you.” He rubs the center of his chest.

“I didn’t know,” I say.

“How could you?”

“I’ll stay. I make no promises, but I will put in some effort.”

“Thank you.” He slides his hand down my leg. “We will do our best to persuade you,” he warns.

“I’m sure,” I say wryly.

“To celebrate our deal,” he rubs his thumb on the exposed skin where my shirt rode up, “do you want to play?”

“How?” I whisper.

“With both of us. No sex. We make you feel good,” he says temptingly.

“I like feeling good,” I tease.

He chuckles. “I know. We help distract you, so all you think about is us.”

“I’m on board so far.”

“You have to trust us. We want to bind you. If at any time you want to stop, all you have to do is say the word.”

“Ropes?”

“Cuffs. Are you going to let us play?”

I study his face. His desire is apparent but so is his need to please me. “Yes, play with me.”

He stands up slowly. “Be right back.” He walks out the door.

I’m achy and excited by our conversation. No matter my doubts about mating, I have no doubts my wolves will protect me and do everything they can to love me.

River comes through the door with nothing but ripped jeans riding low on his hips and a wicked smile. He’s so fucking sexy. I want to lick his abs. He stands at the end of the bed, watching me. Kerian walks in with a small bag in his hands; he sets it on the floor by the bed.

“The rules. When you say stop, we stop, no questions. Otherwise, you make as much noise as you want. In the future, you can have us separately, together, and anything in between. For tonight, we instruct you. We want you to leave everything out of this room. No worries, only thoughts of pleasure and what we can give you,” Kerian says. He towers over me. “Do you still want to play?”

“Yes, Kerian,” I agree.
