I move faster, curling my finger. Her hips thrash desperately. Her moans are getting loud.

“Give me your mouth,” I demand.

She swiftly turns her head, and I take her lips. Her pussy locks down on my fingers as she comes. Her screams are muffled by my mouth.

Her hips stop, and she pulls back from our kiss. We stared at each other while I stroke her softly, gently, loving the feeling of her.

“Morning, cupcake.” I grin.

“That was a good way to wake up.” She grins back.

“I am available to do that service for you anytime.” I reluctantly slide my fingers out.

“Uh-huh, I might have to take you up on that.”

“We should probably go down. Much longer and Kerian will come up, and you will never get out of bed.”

“I don’t know if that’s a bad thing.”

“You better hope he didn’t hear that,” I say. The conversation in the kitchen stopped abruptly.

“Oh, shit. Shifter hearing, right?” she asked wide-eyed.

I laugh at her horrified expression. She smacks me in the stomach and scrambles out of bed. She turns to go into the bathroom but stops and comes back to the bed, leaning over me.

She kisses me. “Thanks, River,” she says softly.

She disappears into the bathroom, shutting the door quietly. I stretch, turning to my back; I look down at the problem I have. Crap, can’t go down like this.

Think about something else besides her sweet scent clinging to my fingers, her delectable ass. Fuck.

Kerian’s stinky feet. Bishop downstairs, probably enjoying the hell out of this. My crazy uncle terrorizing innocent shifters. That did it. I reluctantly roll out of bed.

I walk into the kitchen. Kerian is scowling at me, wishing it was him that slept in. Bishop isn’t grinning, but his eyes are dancing with mirth.

“Asshole,” Kerian growls.

“Don’t be needy,” I taunt. “She’ll be just as happy that you made breakfast.”

“We should meet with Ryker today. He can help us with the search,” Kerian says, quickly changing the subject.

“Ryker?” Bishop asks.

“He’s a five-hundred-year-old vampire. He can be a bit cranky, but who wouldn’t be after that long. He met his mate recently, which you would think would put him in a better mood, but she’s pregnant, so he’s on edge.” I pick up a plate, filling it up.

“A vampire. I don’t know many of their kind that I like,” Bishop says.

“Well, get used to it while you're around here. We have all kinds,” I say.

“I can adapt,” he says dryly. “So, when are you going to turn your mate?”

“She hasn’t chosen to be with us yet,” Kerian says carefully.

“She has a choice?” Bishop asks, surprised.

“Yes, she’s human. We are a lot to take in,” I say as I wave to Kerian and me.

“But she’s living with you.”
