“Stay here,” Kerian offers.

“Yeah, I’ll share with Ava.” I grin as she rounds the couch; she laughs, hearing my sacrifice.

“I don’t want to interrupt your bonding time.” Bishop shifts from foot to foot, uncomfortable. Ava hands out water to us, not making eye contact with him.

“At least for tonight. We have an empty cabin we can put you in after that,” Kerian says.

“Sounds good,” Bishop agrees. “Have you got any calls from him?”

“Not yet; he’s just biding his time. We haven’t had the time to delve into looking for him.”

“I stopped several times to fuel up and rest during the day. The closer I got to you, the more stories I heard about missing people. I met a bear at a diner. He recognized what I was; after he got over the shock of meeting a dragon, he told me one of his friends had disappeared recently. There were signs of a struggle at his house. His friend has had trouble lately dealing with depression, pulling away from his friends, and not showing up to work. He helped guide me to the shifters he thought had information. A man matching your uncle’s description was seen in the area. If you needed more proof that he’s doing it again, there it is.”

“Shit, for a minute, I thought maybe he was lying, or I had hoped,” I say.

“Did you tell them everything?” Bishop tips his bottle to Kerian and Ava.

“Probably not everything but all of the highlights.”

“You saved my life. My sister would be traumatized if not for you. Whatever you need me to do, I will,” he swears.

I nod, “How about we get some rest?”

“I’ll show you to your room,” Kerian says.

“Thanks for coming, brother,” I say, giving him a quick hug. Kerian takes him to my room. “Well, cupcake, we get to have a slumber party. Should we bring snacks?” I wiggle my eyebrows.

I wake up to Ava’s perfect ass snuggled into me. Kerian must be the one making the breakfast I smell. I slept better than I have in years. No dreams of the past tormented me. Having all of us together in the same bed felt right. Of course, I kept as far away from Kerian as possible, keeping Ava between us. I love him like a brother, but I don’t want my junk anywhere near his.

I could hear Bishop downstairs talking to Kerian. I hope they are getting along. Before Ava, they were the most important people in my life.

Ava moves in her sleep, causing my cock to stir with interest.

Should I dare?

Fuck yes.

I slowly slide my hand under the blanket; finding her thigh, I trail my fingertips over it. I repeat the movement, up and down softly. She stirs, sighing lightly. Her skin is so fucking soft, the electricity between us shocking my hand.

I run the tip of my nose up her ear, smelling her cinnamon scent, as I reach under her shirt at her hip. I caress her hip, my fingers teasing the line of her panties.

She rubs her legs together while pressing into me more.

“River,” she says, her sleepy voice causing chills to race over me.

“Shh . . . you don’t want Bishop to hear you. You have to be quiet,” I whisper in her ear.

I slide my hand inside her panties. She widens her legs, encouraging me to delve in. She lets out a rough breath when I find her wet, pushing inside of her. I stroke her, going deep.

She pants.

Burying my face into her neck, I lick her before I suck. I press the heel of my palm on her clit, my fingers never stopping. Her breathing gets ragged and short. She leans her head back further into the pillow as she tries to control the sounds of her pleasure. Her hand finds my leg, clenching, her nails digging in as her walls flutter around my fingers.

“River,” she whimpers.

“Get there, cupcake,” I urge.
