I whip my head toward the dark voice, shocked to find a man leaning against the doorjamb in a white mask and black suit. His dark hair is a little unruly, and his sharp jawline is covered with scruff. Familiar amber eyes cut through me behind his white demi-mask as he meets my gaze.

I know him. He haunts me most nights, driving me insane even though we've only ever spoken once. Kellan Alexander.

I squirm on the bed as a wave of…something goes through me. Lust? Heat? Delight? Overwhelming relief? I don't know. But I like the way he's looking at me like I'm a prize to be won. I hate the way he's looking at me too.

The one and only time we met, he was rude. He acted like he couldn't get away from me fast enough. It annoyed me. I don't do well when I'm annoyed. I get mouthy. It's a bad habit of mine. Long story short, I'm pretty sure I told him that he should consider a career change because an actual hockey puck has better social skills than he does.

"What the fuck?" Riding Crop says, turning to gape at our intruder. "This room is occupied. You need to get the fuck out."

"Uh, no." Kellan pushes away from the wall, prowling deeper into the room. He moves like a predator, stalking forward on silent feet. "She said no. Coercion isn't consent. It's a dick move, and you know it. So how about you get the fuck out before I let Madden know your playmates may not be as willing as he thinks?"

Riding Crop splutters in outrage.

"I'll count to three," Kellan says, his voice a deep, warning growl.

Riding Crop curses and throws the crop down in disgust. He body-checks Kellan on the way out of the room, but Kellan doesn't even move. I jump a little when the door slams behind Riding Crop hard enough to rattle some of the instruments hanging on the walls.

Silence ensues.

I stare at Kellan. He stares at me.

"Um…"

"If you want to explore, you shouldn't be doing it with him," he growls, pinning me with a hard stare. Even through his mask, I read the displeasure in his eyes. He doesn't even like me, and he's chastising me. Great.

"Why not?"

"Because."

I had no intentions of exploring anything with Riding Crop, but I ask anyway. I can't help myself. Why does this man care what I do or who I do it with? He's not my keeper. "Because why?"

"Because he doesn't deserve to put his filthy hands on your perfect body, Parker. He's a sadist. He'll hurt you and get off on it because that's what he enjoys. Unless pain is your kink, avoid him."

"Pain isn't my kink."

Note to self: find out if I have any kinks.

"How did you know I was here?" I thought this club was supposed to be anonymous. It's the only reason I came here! My brother will kill me if he finds out I went to a sex club.

"Your brother," Kellan growls.

Either I'm trapped in a nightmare, or he's reading my thoughts. "Jonas told you I was here?"

"He's here looking for you right now, little one."

"He's here?" I squeak, flying up off the bed. My heart thuds against my breastbone as if it's trying to jump out of my chest.

"Yep."

Crap. Jonas is going to lose his mind if he finds me here. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned Dionysus in my note on the kitchen counter, but I didn't think he'd know what it meant! How does he know about this place? Actually, scratch that. I do not need to know how my brother knows about a sex club or how he got in. I'll never be old enough for that knowledge.

Kellan grabs a paddle from the shelf—gulp—and turns to the door before bending to shove it beneath the edge of the door. He taps it once with his foot, lodging the thickest part of the paddle beneath the door to block it, and then stands upright, turning back to me. "Don't worry, Rebel. He won't find you in here with me. Now, care to tell me why the fuck you're here?"

"No?"

His devilish smirk makes my knees tremble. "You can tell me, or you can tell Jonas."

"I don't even know you." I scowl up at him, annoyed and turned on. He's bossy and high-handed. And tall. Even though I'm five-six, he towers over me. Why can't Jonas know any normal-sized people? And why do I like the fact that this one is so bossy?

That devilish smirk grows as he pulls his mask down, revealing the rest of his face. Even though I knew who he was, I still kind of hoped he'd be some complete stranger. He's not. And yet he is.

This Kellan isn't the same one I met six months ago. There were no devilish smirks then. There was just a lot of growling and grumpiness.
