I leave and keep typing as I walk to my car.

Caden: Remember how I promised to do wicked things to you?

Little bee: Yes…

Caden: Meet me where the road turns into gravel in the woods. I have a game for us. Wear a skirt and no underwear. And I want your hair down too.

Little bee: I’m gonna freeze to death in a skirt and nothing else.

Caden: I’ll warm you up, baby. Don’t worry.

I go to my car and open the glove box. Rummaging through it, I find a piece of black cloth I keep there for when I’ve kidnapped NSC guys in the past. There’s also a bottle of whiskey, a gun, and zip ties.

I won’t use the gun because it reminds me too much of what her Stoneview ex did with his other girlfriend. I don’t want Billie to think I had any inspiration from him. Although I think we could have been good friends if only he hadn’t fucked my girl at one time. He’s got that spot of darkness that dirties the blue of his eyes. There’s something deeply wrong with him, just like me.

I drive to the meeting point I gave to Billie and recognize her car parked there. The road is the end of civilization when it comes to these woods. It turns into gravel and then slowly into nothing but forest ground. That’s the beginning of the end. Where monsters hide and no one can hear you scream.

Night is falling, and it brings a peace over me. My favorite part of the day.

I belong to the night, and Billie knows that.

I open the bottle of whiskey and take a swig. Relishing in the sweet burn going down my throat, I take another one and smile. I am going to have fun with my little bee tonight.

Typing on my phone, I stay in my car as I send a new message to Billie.

Caden: Get out of your car and wait, facing away from me.

Little bee: What have you got in mind?

Caden: Why don’t you do what I tell you and find out?

I watch her exit the car and stand by it, facing the darkness of the forest. Following, I get out of mine. Keeping my steps light, I approach until I’m standing right behind her.

I know she senses me because her body relaxes slightly. “Okay, can I turn around now?” I can hear the smile in her voice.

“Not yet,” I purr in her ear. I put the bottle of whiskey on the ground and grip the cloth in both hands. Without warning, I put it in front of her eyes.

“Caden,” she panics, bringing her fingers to the cloth now covering her eyes.

Fisting both ends, I pull until she crashes against my chest. “Shh. Calm down,” I whisper. “You’re safe, okay?”

I can feel her heart beating through her back and against my chest. “You’ve been drinking.” It’s not a question, and I sense her tensing.

She’s only seen me drunk once, and I’m not exactly proud of what I did to her that day. But we’ve been seeing each other for three weeks now and she’s not scared of me anymore. Like a little lamb who falls in love with the wolf that could eat her, Billie has been lowering her defenses for me. This new version of our relationship makes my heart melt every single time I see her.

It's dangerously addictive to receive Billie Scott’s love. She doesn’t have much of it to give, and it’s a privilege that she’s chosen me to do so with.

It’s also a precarious situation for her because while I was obsessed with her before for the simple fact that I wanted her, I am now consumed by love and euphoria at knowing I will never let her go. She agrees to that now, but if she changes her mind, it won’t mean anything to me. She belongs to me forever, and there’s absolutely nothing she can do about it.

I’m hyper-aware of every single one of Billie’s trembling breaths as I tie the cloth at the back of her head. I make sure not to pull at her beautiful long hair.

“I’m going to do something with you I’ve never done before, little bee,” I whisper in her ear.

Looking down, I can see her tapping her fingers against her thighs. A discreet dance of apprehension.

“I’m going to give you a way to stop what I’m about to do.”

She freezes from the surprise. “W-what?”
