Home sweet home. As the thought crossed my mind, I rested my head against Milo’s arm, waiting for the moment his car arrived at the curb’s edge so that we could pile inside.

FIFTEEN

A weekof pure bliss after so much bullshit had me feeling as if I was overdosing.

Overdosing on pussy.

Overdosing on happiness.

Overdosing on laughter.

Overdosing on pleasure.

Overdosing on comfort.

Overdosing on hugs.

Overdosing on kisses.

Overdosing on quality time.

Overdosing on cuddles.

Overdosing on peace.

Overdosing on Nature.

Every-fucking-thing was OD. But admittedly, I wanted it no other way. Seeing that smile on her face every time I opened my eyes, it was sensational. Skin to skin, body to body, we slept in each other’s arms as if one of us would vanish in the night.

And Mason, having him in my line of vision almost every second that I wasn’t busting my ass in the office was quite pleasurable. My first week back in the office had me wishing I was back home, smelling his toes and rocking him while we watched Mommy shower.

My level of clinginess had increased to shameful levels, but somehow, I didn’t give a fuck. If she didn’t have to, I didn’t want Nature to even breathe without me and vice versa. As if she’d heard my thoughts, her name crossed my screen, prompting me to answer.

“What’s up, baby?”

“Babe, seriously?” she whined on the other end, sounding as cute as I was sure she looked.

Chuckling, I rubbed a hand down my head. Without her revealing her frustrations, I knew where they stemmed from.

“Hello?”

“I’m here, Nay.”

“Milo, everything is gone.”

“Making it easier on us both. Why you pouting?”

“Because, where is it all?”

“Getting unloaded at the crib as we speak.”

“You couldn’t wait?”

“Nah. I couldn’t. We have shit to do this weekend and I wanted to get it out of the way.”

“The house hasn’t officially sold yet.”

“It’s a cash offer and the buyer happens to be Lawe. It’s as good as bought.”
