And then he adds more pressure, breaking the breach and making my eyes roll to the back of my head.

Our breathing is hard and erratic at first, taking us a while to get our bearings. Spent and utterly satisfied, my grin comes forth as I turn my head sideways to see Teo looking at me.
There’s such tenderness in his amber gaze, such love, that a lump rises up my throat, and no matter how hard I try to swallow it down, it refuses to budge.
“Teo—”
“I love you,” he says, cutting me off.
“Teo, wait—”
“No, I’m tired of waiting,” he says adamantly, pulling me off the table and spinning me around in his arms. “You need to hear this. I love you. I’m in love with you. I always have been.”
My heart races in my chest as Teo stares into my eyes.
“This is real, Katrina. You can’t hide from it anymore, nor can you pretend that you don’t feel the same. I love you. Do you understand that? I’m in love with you.”
When he sees that I’m unable to give him the reply he wants to hear, he lets me go and begins to pace the room, head hung low as he tugs at his locks.
“Fuck. You still don’t get it, do you?” he mumbles more to himself than to me. He then raises his head. “Wake the fuck up, Katrina. This, between us, is real. What we had when we were kids was real. I have known that you were the only woman for me before I even knew myself. And you,” he points a menacing finger at me, “love me too. You can deny it to me, you can even lie to yourself that all you actually feel for me is lust and nothing more. But I know the truth. I feel it every time you kiss me. In every caress. I even feel it when you come on my cock. So don’t stand there and say nothing. Instead, take a long look at what you’ve been trying to hide from yourself and fucking come to terms with it already. I love you and you love me. It’s that simple.”
“No, it’s not,” I finally manage to say.
Teo rushes toward me and instinctively, I take a step back, hitting the table behind me and halting his next step.
Teo’s golden eyes widen as he stares at me.
“You’re afraid,” he accuses, shaking his head. “You’re fucking terrified.”
“I’m not,” I deny, swallowing down hard.
“Yes, you are. Because if you admit that you love me, then you will also have to admit that you don’t lovehim.”
It’s only when he conjures Levi’s name that I take a step toward him.
“I do love him,” I retort with an edge to my voice. “And don’t you ever question my love for Levi again.”
Teo’s face pales and I watch all the blood leave his cheeks.
“That’s not true. It can’t be,” he mutters under his breath.
“It is true,” I snap with ice in my veins. “You can say that I’m in denial and that I’m hiding my true feelings from myself, but my love for Levi is undeniable and unquestionable.”
Teo’s expression turns lethal at my words.
