It doesn’t take long for both men to follow.

CHAPTERTHIRTY-THREE

“Zach!” I shout as the tall, tattooed, delicious man falls flat on his back. I do the world's most awkward shuffle across the ice until I’m next to him.

The little area we’re in is a man-made ice rink of sorts. It looks almost like a frozen pond, but Jer reassures me it’s actually just layers of ice that the town takes care of. It’s surrounded by trees, and the large lights overhead light the area up.

I reach out to Zach with my glove-covered hands and attempt to help pull him up. All I manage to do is end up on my ass. Jer laughs as he does a slightly more graceful shuffle over to us, but he wipes out as he reaches us.

We’re laughing, even as my ass goes completely numb until I’m being hoisted up by both men, who managed to get up on their own.

“You’re like an elegant swan!” Jer teases as I basically stomp across the ice.

“This is so much harder than I thought it would be!” I complain, after sticking my tongue out at Jer.

“If it’s any consolation, your ass still looks marvelous, even if you do look like a newborn deer on wobbly knees.” Jer’s joke makes me snort a laugh, and I nearly fall once more. “Come on, Bambi. We can eat dinner now.”

“It’s just a picnic,” Zach adds as both men come up on either side of me and help me across the ice toward a multi-layered blanket on top of the snow. We pause at the edge of the ice to remove the blades and put our snow boots back on.

I laugh like a hyena when Zach swoops me off my feet and carries me over to the blankets. It’s a bit chilly, but because of the multiple layers, it’s tolerable.

“Champagne and dessert?” I lift a brow when they pull the goodies out of the basket.

“We’ll have dinner after dessert,” Jer says with a wink, and the rush of heat that travels straight to my core has me shivering.

I take the offered glass and sip my drink, watching as Zach pulls a chocolate-covered strawberry out of its box for me. When I reach for it, he shakes his head, lifting it to my lips.

I open, letting him hand feed me, and moan as the delicious flavor melts together in my mouth.

Fuck, that's good.

“That's a sound I want to hear more of,” Jer says with a dirty grin, and I blush.

We’re silent for a few moments, each of us enjoying the treat. When Jer leans over, clearly going for a kiss, I meet him halfway, licking the taste of chocolate and fruit off his lips. His kiss is playful and sweet, just like him. When he pulls away, I only have enough time to catch my breath before Zach is there, claiming my lips possessively. His kiss is darker, rougher, and needy. I part my lips for him, as he tangles his tongue with my own, and the taste of him in my mouth has me sighing.

We continue on like that for a long while. When I pull away from one man to catch my breath, the other is there pulling me in for another kiss, until all three of us are panting.

I’m considering the potential benefit of jumping them here and now, when bright ass lights are being shined directly at us. I turn, looking behind me, and find a truck facing us. It’s still pretty far away, but the high beams are on, and damn are they intense.

“Cops?” I frown, wondering who else would be out here shining their lights at us like we’re naughty teens getting it on in the park on prom night.

“No. That’s a truck. I’ve only ever seen officers in cars here,” Jer says, glaring at the offending lights.

“Let's go. This is creepy,” I mumble, and both men nod.

“I’ll clean up, you get her to the car,” Jer says to his brother, already grabbing things before I’m even standing. Zach helps me up, and then leads me to the car. We both keep our eyes on the creepy ass truck, but as soon as we’re halfway to our car, the truck drives off in a blur.

“What was that about?” I grumble, and Zach shakes his head. I pout when I’m tucked into the back seat until Zach climbs in with me. Jer sees this after he loads up the trunk. He grins, taking the driver's seat.

Zach pulls my attention away from the fading brake lights by kissing me. We stop after only a few minutes, and I frown as I break the kiss.

“Coffee?” Jer asks, and I nod. We go inside, but no one turns the lights on. Instead, Jer lights a few candles around the room. I lean against the counter, watching him as Zach disappears into the back room. I take my gloves and jacket off, laying them next to me, as Jer serves three cups of hot coffee. I’m distracted as Zach comes out of the back, so when I turn to look at him, the sight of a massive teddy bear startles me.

“We wanted to bring it to the house but forgot it here. We were a bit excited when we left to pick you up,” Zach explains.

“We’ll take it with us when we drop you off tomorrow morning,” Jer adds, and I’m so fixated on the giant bear Zach is sitting up in a booth that I don’t even hear him at first. I spend a few seconds admiring my new teddy before the words click.

“The morning?” I ask, lifting a brow, and Jer grins.
