"Split up," I ordered. "Find her."

Searching the path of the boardwalk, I took off, stopping everyone who passed and asking if they'd seen her.

Stopping, I spun, shoving my hands through my hair, searching the beach and boardwalk. Where was she?

"Harper," I yelled.

"I'll go down to the boardwalk and search," Maverick yelled, catching up to me.

"Hey," Sebastian called from behind me. I turned. "Missy saw her going into that house. She said that's where Mikey is staying." He pointed, and we both took off.

"Let's split up," I said, not bothering to knock on the door.

Searching the first floor, Sebastian ran up to the second. Flinging doors open, I rushed through each room.

"Christian," Sebastian yelled, and I took the stairs two at a time. Flinging myself around the doorway, Harper sat on the floor, knees to her chest, and Sebastian checked the pulse of Mikey, who was lying beside the bed with a shattered lamp next to his head.

"Is he dead?" I asked, moving to Harper.

"No, but he's going to wish he was tomorrow morning," Sebastian said.

"Harper," I leaned down, pulling her up.

"No." she shoved me away and stormed towards the door. Gripping her wrist, I spun her around. Her right hook caught me in the chest. We'd attracted an audience. Chloe, Ryder, and all my boys had trickled into the room.

"Fuck off, Christian." She swung, aiming for my face but missed when I ducked out of the way. Gripping her wrist, I jerked her to me and threw her over my shoulder before carrying her to a separate room and slamming the door behind me.

"Christian," she hissed.

"Put me the fuck down." She was pissed, and I couldn't blame her.

"Harper," I said, setting her down, holding her tight against me, and trapping her arms at her side. She turned her face away from me. Releasing her and grabbing her face with both hands, I forced her to look at me. She struggled against my grip, but I only held tighter, pressing my face firmly against hers. "Harper, I'm sorry."

"You could have just told me you got back together with her," she cried.

"I didn't," I whispered. "I'm not sorry that I kissed her because I didn't. I'm sorry that I put myself in a situation that would make you think I did."

"Why were you with her?" she asked, grabbing my wrist that still held her face.

"She said she had something she needed to tell me about you," I said.

"And?"

"Can we just go back to the house?" I asked, releasing her face. "It concerns everyone."

"So, you didn't fuck Alexi?"

"No."

We stepped out of the room, where everyone stood silently, waiting for us to return.

"Chloe and Maverick, will you take Harper back to the house?"

"Wait, you're not coming?" Harper asked.

"Yes, but there's something I need to take care of first."

"I already whooped his drunk ass," Harper hissed. "Just let him be."
