His large hand grabbed my jaw, pulling my face up to his. "Shut up and listen, or I'll gag you." I pressed my lips into a thin line as he pressed his forehead to mine. The heat from his breath fanned across my lips as his voice dropped to a husky whisper. "I will slide that belt between your perfect lips." He brushed his thumb along my bottom lip. "And strap your mouth to that fucking pole." How did he manage to make a threat sound so sexual? I had no doubt he was serious, though. Swallowing hard, I nodded. The fight in me disappeared. "Now, are you done?"
"Yes." The sooner he said what he needed to, the sooner we could move on.
"I told you my life was complicated," he said, releasing my jaw. "I told you my life was already planned." His large hands curled around my waist, and I resisted the urge to jerk away from his touch. "Bella is part of that plan, and I didn't tell you about her because right now, she is irrelevant."
"You put a ring on her finger with the promise of forever, Jayden," I spat. "You don't put a ring on someone's finger with the promise of not right now, but later."
"I didn't," he said, and my brows pinched. "I didn't put that ring on her finger. My mother did."
"Why? Is this an arranged marriage?"
"Yes," he said. "Our marriage was arranged before we could walk or talk to tie our families together."
"This is America. No one does arranged marriages anymore."
"It's how my family works."
"So, you do plan to marry her, then?"
"It was always the plan," he said, as his hands cupped the sides of my face, holding me in place. "After college, I move back home, step into a position in the family business, and marry Bella to link our families, but then you showed up, making me question everything."
"I—" I trailed off. I had no idea what to say. I understood what he was saying, but what did this mean for us now?
"This changes nothing, Sadie," he said, his voice a low rumble. "You are mine."
"Until I'm not," I whispered. My chest felt like it had been cracked open, exposing my vulnerability.
"I never promised forever," he said. "I was honest about that. You knew I would go home without you once this year was over."
"Yeah." I sighed. "But how exactly is this going to work? Should I be okay sleeping on the couch while you sleep with Bella in your bed?"
"Bella isn't sleeping in my bed with me," he said. "You are."
"Have you and Bella…" I trailed off. Jealousy blooming in my chest at the thought of the two of them together intimately.
"No, and we never will. I will be Bella's husband in name only. I don't love her, and I have no intention of fucking her or getting her pregnant."
"And does she know this?"
"She does, though I don't think she's accepted it yet."
"Okay." I sighed. He was right; his life and future were complicated, but it didn't matter today. "Can you untie me now?" The corners of his lips curled up into an evil smirk.
"Only if you let me tie you to the bed later," he said, brushing his lips across mine. "So I can make you scream my name so loud everyone in the house knows who I belong to."
"Deal."

My eyes easedopen as I stretched to loosen my tense muscles. The bed shook, and my gaze flicked over to Jayden, pushing out of bed.
"I'm going to meet with my father," Jayden said, twisting to face me. My lips curled into a smile as my gaze trailed over his naked body, every tight and toned muscle in his upper body and down to his massive manhood. "It shouldn't take long, and then you, Bri, and I will go get breakfast while they get their shit packed up and leave." He strolled inside the large walk-in closet, and when he reappeared, he was fully dressed in dark jeans and one of his team t-shirts.
Kneeling on one knee on the bed, he pressed his lips to my forehead. "I'll be back."
The door clicked shut, and I rolled out of bed and went straight to the shower. I showered quickly and grabbed one of Jayden's tees, slipping it on. I'd planned on hiding in the room until Jayden was done to avoid the drama that came with Bella and Jayden's mom.
