“Can somebody clue us in?” Ryker says, swiping a clear spot on the table set up against the far wall to take a seat.

“Yeah,” Gray adds, coming to stand directly between where Emmett holds me and Axel stands. “Like, are you guys good? Am I ever going to be required for another Gray sandwich because that shit literally made my life? And—”

“Not that, you fucking idiot,” Ryker grunts, smacking the back of Gray’s head and catching him off guard. I hadn’t even noticed that Mr. President moved from the damn table, so I can’t imagine how startled Gray feels.

“What they want to tell us, he means,” Emmett explains.

“Fine, I guess that’s important too,” Gray relents, moving to stand beside Axel with his arms folded over his chest.

Emmett reluctantly puts me down, and I fold my arms in an attempt to replace the warmth I just left behind.

“We found the compound.”

“What?” Ryker’s eyes widen in surprise.

“Well, technically Reaper did,” Axel adds, taking a drag of his cigarette as Gray gapes at me in surprise.

“How?” Emmett asks, hand on my shoulder as he turns me to look at him.

“From memory.”

“Memory?” Emmett’s brows furrow.

“This crazy-ass woman took me on a wild drive. I didn’t know what was going on. I could have sworn she was lost a time or two, but she was retracing her steps from when she was taken. Even found Declan at the gates too, confirming what we already knew.”

Ryker paces in front of us, aware of how serious this information is, as we all give him a moment to process.

“Fucker. How do we get on the inside?” he murmurs more to himself than anyone else, but Axel still replies.

“I don’t know, and that’s the part we have to figure out. But at least we knowwherewe’re fucking heading.”

Ryker spins to face me. He takes two long strides, eliminating the distance between us before I’m in his arms, feet off the ground as he spins me on the spot.

“Fuck, you’re amazing, Rebel.” I preen in his hold, basking in the compliment.

“Thanks, it’s my specialty, but what’s the plan? Whatever it is, you better count me the fuck in.”

“Always. You’re our Ruthless Rebel. That means something,” he murmurs against my ear, and I shiver. Nothing has ever felt quite like this.

I’m home.

“For now, we need to act normal and make sure this stays between us. I can’t risk Declan getting a whiff of this.” I nod in agreement, hating that it feels like we’re pausing again, but this time it makes sense. It would be foolish to go in blind. “Can you do it again for me, Rebel? I want to survey the borders,” he asks, and I know with certainty that this time, things could finally be swaying in our direction.

“Of course, but first, Axel promised me a bubble bath, a massage, and anything else I wanted. That has to come first.”

“Worshiping our woman?” Emmett adds. “Fuck yeah, it does.”

“Not you, fuckers, she’s mine for the rest of the day. Anyone who tries to question me can meet my fucking left hook because I’ve waited long enough,” Axel grunts.

My heart is full, the prospect of hope on the horizon for the club is like a breath of fresh air.

It’s just like Emily said.Families who slay together, stay together. And we’re getting closer and closer to proving her right.

With my Ruthless Men beside me, nothing is going to stand in our way.
