Iwhimper at the loss of contact.

Hechuckles, the most magnificent soundI’veever heard, and points to the projection screen. “Watchthe movie, you can get more later.”

Latersounds nice.Imove away from him, heading toward the short staircase leading out of the tub, and inch out of the water slowly.Hegrowls at the sight of me andIturn back to give him a wink before heading toward the loveseat situated in front of the screen.Whenhe comes over, he grabs a throw blanket and wraps it around me before pulling me against him.

Isnuggle closer to him, my eyes falling shut almost immediately, and a content smile spreading on my face.Thisis everythingIcould have ever wanted, and with someoneInever thought it would be with.

WhenIwake up with the sun shining in my eyes,Iexpect to see the bright sky above me.Instead,I’mstaring out the window inBishop’sroom with a smile, then flinging the cover away excitedly.

Thistime, he’s the one who woke up before me, and the shower is running in the large bathroom across the room.Iinch closer to the door, pushing it open slowly so he doesn’t hear me coming inside, and slip behind him quickly.

Hespins around, his dark gaze colliding with mine, and my breath hitches. “God,Ilove showers much more now that you’re going to be joining me.”Whenhe presses his lips to mine, the water falling between the two of us,Ihook my arms around his neck and deepen the kiss. ”Yep, much better,” he says with a smile.

“Shutup and kiss me like you mean it.”

Hechuckles, then pushes me against the shower wall, the cool tile of it seeping through to my core.Thecoolness doesn’t last long as his heat flows through me, andIlet out a low moan.Hislips come back down to mine, sucking every piece of my soul from my body and taking it as his own.

Islip my tongue between our lips, molding it with his, and he groans deeply.Thevibration of the noise has electricity dancing throughout my entire body, a sensationInever expected to feel from him, andIrock my hips into him.Hegrabs my waist, halting my movements, then turns to shut the water off.

“Thebed,Georgia.”WhenIdon’t move, he narrows his eyes at me. “Now.”

Idon’t waste any more time and hurry through the room, jumping onto the bed with a smile on my face as he walks toward me slowly.Hisheated gaze burns me from the outside in.

Twentyminutes later,I’msitting at the kitchen island asIwatch him make the two of us breakfast while sipping orange juice.Hehas a shirt off, with his cotton pants hanging low on his hips, andIcan’t help but bite my lip at the sight. There’smusic playing softly from theAlexaon top of the fridge, andIabout melt when he starts swaying his hips to the music.

Wemight be happy right now, butIstill need to have a serious conversation withCamdenabout lying toWinnie.Italmost cost me my friendship, andIwon’t stand for that.Idon’t want to do it alone though,Bishopdeserves to be there with me… but will he do that?Especiallywith how he feels aboutCamdenin the first place.

Chapter28

Bishop

Theoffice closed about an hour ago, and usually,I’dspend that time getting through paperwork whileGeorgiasits across the room with me.Shesaid she needed to leave early today though, asking for a key to my place, and there was a weird glint in her gaze.I’mnot sure what she needed at my place, butIgladly handed her a key — maybe she’ll hold onto it.

I’vebeen wanting to ask her to move in, the only reasonIhaven’t is becauseI’mworried she’s going to thinkI’mmoving too fast. But, if we’re being honest, she’s at my house most days and nights anyway.Evento hang out withWinnie, she’s brought her over to my place a few times and hung out in the backyard with her.

Thebell above the entrance echoes through the silent space andIgrunt out, “We’reclosed, call tomorrow between eight and four.”

Athroat clears from the doorway andInarrow my gaze onCamden. “Youhave some nerve showing up here.”

Henods, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Iknow, butIthink we need to talk.”

“You’realready here, soIdon’t have much of a choice.”

Camdensaunters into the room and takes a seat in one of the empty chairs, then blows out a rough sigh. “Thereare a few thingsIneed to apologize for.”Hetakes a deep breath and says, “First,I’dlike to apologize to you..”

Icock my head to the side. “Me?”

Henods and runs a hand through his hair. “Yeah,Iwas trying to get to you whenIcame toGeorgia… it wasn’t right, soI’mapologizing to you for that.”

“Okay.”I’mnot willing to accept his apologies just yet untilIknow everything he’s apologizing for.

“Second,Iwant to apologize for not respecting whatGeorgiawas telling me.Shewas clear that she wanted me to leave her alone, andIdidn’t do that.”Hemust sense my confusion as to why he’s apologizing to me for that because he adds, “Sheloves you, which means anything that affects her transfers to you as well, and it’s only right thatIapologize to both of you.”

Well, that’s big of him. It’snot somethingIwould’ve expected coming from him, butIcan respect it enough to hear the rest of what he’s trying to say.

“AndIalso want to apologize for lying.FortellingWinniethatGeorgiasaid she would be with me, then went behind my back with you.”Heclenches his jaw tightly, shaking his head. “Itwas a terrible thing for me to do, and ifIhad known it would cost her almost losing everyone she lovesInever would’ve done it.”
